Vesting Control of a Reserve under the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1908.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of September, 1916.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him by section five of the Tourist and Health Resorts Control Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby vest the control of the reserve for landing purposes described in the Schedule hereto in the Minister of the Crown for the time being having the administration of the said Act, and doth hereby declare that the said reserve shall be administered under the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 7 acres 0 roods 15 perches, more or less, being Section 4, Block VII, Tarawera Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by Wairoa Stream; towards the east by Run 78, 130 links; towards the south generally by aforesaid Run 78, 1103.3 links; and towards the west and south by the eastern and northern boundaries of the Rotomahana Parekarangi Block No. 6J 2B, 504.4 links and 1377.5 links respectively, to the aforesaid Wairoa Stream: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. Vesting Reserves in the Lumsden Town Board.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been duly set apart as an endowment or for the use of the Town Board of the Lumsden Town District: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Lumsden Town Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Lumsden Town Board, in trust, as an endowment or for the use of the said Town Board.

Opening National Endowment Lands in Nelson Land District for Selection by Discharged Soldiers on Renewable Lease.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the national endowment lands described in the Schedule hereto, which have been set apart for selection by discharged soldiers, shall be open for selection by discharged soldiers on renewable lease on Wednesday, the eighth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, at the rentals mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that the said lands shall be leased under and subject to the provisions of the said Act and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915.
SCHEDULE.
NATIONAL ENDOWMENT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Karamea Mining District.—Buller County.—Brighton Survey District.
SECTION 8, Block IX: Area, 416 acres 3 roods. Approximate rent per acre per annum, 6d. Capital value, £280. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £5 4s.
Section 9, Block IX: Area, 483 acres 1 rood. Approximate rent per acre per annum, 6d. Capital value, £290. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £5 16s.
Sections 8 and 9 are homestead-sites on old boundary road or Bullock Creek; high country, broken and rugged; limestone formation; suitable for sheep, but will run a few cattle; all mixed forest, with heavy undergrowth. Access by old inland road from Fox's River and Punakaikai River, or by pack-track up Bullock Creek.
Section 10, Block IX: Area, 268 acres. Approximate rent per acre per annum, 6d. Capital value, £170. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £3 8s.
Several homestead-sites on this section; broken and rugged between old road and Bullock Creek; all mixed forest, with heavy undergrowth; limestone formation; suitable for sheep, and will run a few cattle. Access by Bullock Creek pack-track and by old inland road.
Westland Mining District.—Murchison County.—Matiri Survey District.
Section 17, Block XI: Area, 784 acres. Approximate rent per acre per annum, 5d. Capital value, £400. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £8.
Section 14, Block XII: Area, 1,156 acres. Approximate rent per acre per annum, 5d. Capital value, £610. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £12 4s.
Well watered; and all forest-clad, principally red and brown birch, with some scattered pine and mountain totara, with good undergrowth of mixed scrub. Each subdivision has a homestead-site, and there are some narrow flats of fairly good soil along the branches of Nuggety Creek and sides of spurs, and poor on top of spurs. Formation conglomerate and sandstone. When forest has been cleared, land in the vicinity has proved good sheep-country. Grass grows luxuriously. Altitude, from 900 ft. to 2,800 ft. About eight miles and a half from Murchison to commencement of block, three miles of which is by main coach-road; balance bridle-track. A bridle-track has been formed to the centre of block, and is being continued to give access to all the sections.

Notifying Land in Canterbury Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Wednesday, the first day of November, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, as the time at which the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the price at which the said land shall be sold as that mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.
