Fixing Open Season for Godwits (Curlew).
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of September, 1916.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-second day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, made under the Animals Protection Act, 1908, it was ordered and declared that the season during which godwits may be killed shall be the first day of January to the thirty-first day of March, both days inclusive, in each year: And whereas by an Order in Council dated seventh December, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, the Southland Acclimatization District was excepted from the provisions of such Order in Council: And whereas it is expedient to further amend the said Order in Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Animals Protection Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the season during which godwits (Limosa Novæ Zealandiæ—Native name kauka or hakakao) may be killed shall, except in the Opotiki, Southland, and Auckland Acclimatization Districts, be the first day of January to the thirty-first day of March, both days inclusive, in each year; provided, however, that no such birds shall be trapped, netted, snared, or taken by any other means prohibited by the Animals Protection Act, 1908.

Taihape and District Patriotic Society incorporated under the War Funds Act, 1915.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section twelve of the War Funds Act, 1915 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor may, by Order in Council gazetted, incorporate a society possessing a war fund, or the trustees of such fund: And whereas application, in writing addressed to the Minister, has been made by the Taihape and District Patriotic Society (being a society possessing a war fund), praying for the incorporation of that society:
And whereas it is considered desirable to grant such application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the society known as the Taihape and District Patriotic Society is hereby incorporated for the purposes of the said Act as from the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, and shall be known as the “Taihape and District Patriotic Society.”

Transfer of certain War Funds to the Hawke’s Bay War Relief Association, incorporated under the War Funds Act, 1915.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of September, 1916.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section thirteen of the War Funds Act, 1915 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that any person, society, or trustees (whether such society or trustees are incorporated or not) having control of any war fund may, with the consent of the Governor in Council, transfer such fund to any other society or trustees incorporated pursuant to section twelve of the said Act, to be applied by such last-mentioned society or trustees for the purposes for which such last-mentioned society or trustees were incorporated, notwithstanding that such purposes may not be identical with the purposes for which the fund to be transferred was established; provided that consent shall not be given to any application under this section unless the Governor in Council is satisfied that the fund to be transferred can be administered by the incorporated society or trustees for substantially the same purposes as those for which the fund was established:
And whereas applications have been made by the organizations and persons named in the Schedule hereto for the consent of the Governor in Council to the transfer to the Hawke’s Bay War Relief Association (Incorporated) of the fund (hereinafter referred to as “the said funds”) set opposite their respective names in the said Schedule:
And whereas the Governor in Council is satisfied that such funds can be administered by the Hawke’s Bay War Relief Association for substantially the same purposes as those for which those funds were established:
And whereas it is considered desirable to consent to such transfers:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the transfer of the said funds to the Hawke’s Bay War Relief Association (incorporated).

Vesting a Cemetery Reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waitemata.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this eleventh day of September, 1916.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved for a public cemetery: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waitemata:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waitemata, in trust, for a public cemetery.
SCHEDULE.
WAITAKERE CEMETERY.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 5 acres, more or less, being Allotment 286, Waipareira Parish. Bounded towards the north-east by Allotment 132, Waipareira Parish, 857·1 links; towards the south-east by the aforesaid allotment and a public road, 269·3, 218, 258, 270·1, and 289·4 links; and towards the north-west by a railway reserve, 453·5 and 543·6 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 2/35c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan 18327, blue.)
