HEATHCOTE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR A SPECIAL LOAN OF £1,600 FOR INSTALLING ELECTRICITY IN THE HEATHCOTE VALLEY.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Heathcote County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,600, authorized to be raised by the Heathcote County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing electric mains, public lamps, &c., in the Heathcote Valley Electricity Supply Special-loan Area of the County of Heathcote, the said Heathcote County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four-thirteenths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (being capital value) of all rateable property in the Heathcote Valley Electricity Supply Special-loan Area of the County of Heathcote comprised within the following boundaries:—

All that area of the Valley Riding of the County of Heathcote, being part of Block XVI of the Christchurch Survey District, herein more particularly described: Commencing at a point on the Sumner Road boundary of Rural Section 4, being 870 links from the junction of the southern and western boundaries of Rural Section 4; thence southerly in a right line for a distance of 500 links; thence westerly and southerly on a line 500 links east of the eastern boundary of Bridle Path Road to the southern boundary of Rural Section 1163; thence easterly to Mount Pleasant Road; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Rural Section 1319 and continuing such line to the junction of the southern and eastern boundaries of Rural Section 420; thence westerly and southerly to the north of Rural Section 3800; thence westerly to a point 500 links from the eastern boundary of Bridle Path Road to the northern boundary of Rural Section 368; thence easterly and southerly to the southern boundary of Rural Section 368; thence westerly along the said boundary to the western boundary; thence northerly along the western boundary to the southern boundary of Rural Section 3799; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Rural Sections 3799 and 1314, and continuing such line until it meets the western boundary of the Heathcote Valley Riding; thence northerly along such boundary to the south bank of the River Heathcote; thence southerly and easterly along the River Heathcote to its junction with the Sumner Road; thence easterly along the south boundary of the Sumner Road to the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I, George Scott, Chairman of the Heathcote County Council, do hereby certify that the above resolution was duly made and passed at a meeting of the Heathcote County Council held on the 13th day of July, 1915.

In testimony thereof the common seal of the Heathcote County Council has hereunto been affixed this 15th day of July, 1915.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR A SPECIAL LOAN OF £2,000 FOR SEWAGE-WORKS IN THE HEATHCOTE VALLEY RIDING.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Heathcote County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Heathcote County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of sewage-works in the Heathcote Valley Sewage Special-loan Area of the County of Heathcote, the said Heathcote County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-five twenty-sixths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (being capital value) of all rateable property in the Heathcote Valley Special-loan Area aforesaid as comprised within the following boundaries:—

All that area of the Valley Riding of the Heathcote County, being part of Block XVI of the Christchurch Survey District, herein more particularly described: Commencing at a point on the northern boundary of Rural Section 1026, being 500 links east of Bridle Path Road; thence following a line in a southerly direction 500 links east of Bridle Path Road to the northern boundary of Rural Section 3800; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Rural Section 3800 to Bridle Path Road; thence crossing Bridle Path Road to the northern boundary of Short Street; thence along northern boundary of Short Street to the railway reserve; thence crossing the railway reserve to the northern boundary of Rural Section 271; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Rural Section 271 to the eastern boundary of Hills Road; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Hills Road to a point 250 links south of the junction of the eastern and western boundaries of Rural Section 271; thence westerly across Hills Road to the northern and eastern boundaries of Hills Road Terrace; thence in a northerly direction along the northern and eastern boundaries of Hills Road Terrace to Martindale Road; thence westerly along Martindale Road to the point of commencement.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

KARAKA ROAD BOARD.

COPY OF RESOLUTION PASSED AT A MEETING ON MARCH 20TH, 1915.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it on that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Karaka Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,850, authorized to be raised by the Karaka Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of a bridge over the Hingaia Creek and a bridge over the Whangamaire Creek, taking land for a road to give access to the above-mentioned bridges, and incidental expenses connected thereto, the said Karaka Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property in a special-rating area comprising part of Ward II of the Karaka Road District as formed and defined by resolution of August 16th, 1913, being all the rateable land on the N. or left side of a line formed by the road which starts from a point on the W. boundary of the Karaka Road District and of Section 50, and bounds Sections 47, 48, and 49; thence by the road fronting Section 234 to the new road passing through Sections 234, 52, and 53 to its junction with the Karaka-Waiau Road; thence by the last-mentioned road to the Whangapouri Creek, and from that point by the Whangapouri and Hingaia Creeks and the Manukau Harbour to the northern end of the line forming the western boundary of the district; the said area being comprised in Blocks I, II, III, V, VI, and VII, Drury Survey District, and consisting of Sections 1 to 49 inclusive, Sections 51, 54, and 55, part of Sections 50, 52, 53, and 234, and the Native Reserves 390, 391, 392, 415, and 417. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
