PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

PETONE SEWAGE DRAINAGE LOAN, 1915, OF £25,000.—
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Petone
hereby resolve as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £25,000, authorized to be raised by the
Petone Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of completing and extending the sewage
drainage scheme at present being laid down within the Eastern
Petone Sewage Area, the said Mayor, Councillors, and Bur-
gesses of the Borough of Petone hereby make and levy a
special rate of three-fourths of a penny in the pound on the
unimproved value of all rateable property within that portion
of the Borough of Petone known as “the Petone Eastern
Special-rating Area,” being the whole of the Borough of
Petone, the boundaries of which are gazetted at page 740
of Gazette No. 38, of 5th July, 1888, and at page 1544 of
Gazette No. 47, of 10th June, 1908, with the exception of
Sections 81 to 92 inclusive, 94 to 110 inclusive, and 126 on
the plan of the Korokoro Settlement, Block XIII, Belmont
Survey District, and Sections 79, 111 to 123 inclusive, and
part of Sections 35 and 36, Maungaraki Settlement, and
being portions of Section 79, Block XIII, and of Sections 1
and 2, Block VIII, Belmont Survey District, and Lots 14
and 15 on plan deposited in the Land Transfer Office at
Wellington as No. 1414 ; and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a
resolution passed by the Petone Borough Council on the 19th
day of July, 1915.

KARAUNUI DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the
matter of the KARAUNUI DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED),
in Liquidation.

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-
named company are required, on or before the 19th
August, 1915, to send their names and addresses, and par-
ticulars of their debts or claims, to George Arthur Harlow,
Accountant, No. 152, High Street, Dunedin, the Liquidator
of the said company; and also, if so required by notice in
writing from the said Liquidator, are personally or by their
solicitor to come in and prove their said debts or claims,
at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or
in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of
any such distribution made before such debts are proved.

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the
matter of the WILTON ESTATE COMPANY (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named
company duly convened and held at Wellington on the
13th day of July, 1915, the following resolution was unani-
mously passed as an extraordinary resolution :—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the com-
pany that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities
continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up
the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up
voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act,
1908.”
And at such meeting Messrs. MARTIN CHAPMAN, K.C.,
CHARLES ARTHUR KNAPP, and JAMES ANDREW BRUCE were
appointed Liquidators for the purpose of the winding-up.

KAWA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by
the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amend-
ments, the Kawa Drainage Board hereby resolves as fol-
lows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £150, authorized to be raised by the
Kawa Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of draining the Kawa Swamp, the said
Kawa Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one-eighth of a penny (⅛d.) in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property classified “A,” and
one-sixteenth of a penny (¹⁄₁₆d.) in the pound upon the rate-
able value of all rateable property classified “B,” of all the
rateable property of the Kawa Drainage District; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
31st day of March in each and every year during the cur-
rency of the loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the
loan is paid off; and that the cost of raising same, and the
first year’s interest, shall be paid out of the loan.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a correct copy of a
resolution passed at a meeting of the Kawa Drainage Board
held on the 7th day of May, 1915.

Single copies of the Gazette, 6d. each.
Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and
any subsequent insertion.
Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
23s.
All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.
The number of insertions required must be written
across the face of the advertisement.
The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening in each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 3 o’clock of
the day preceding publication.
