IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of shareholders of the above company held at the company’s office, High Street, Kaiapoi, on Thursday, July 8th, 1915, the following resolution was passed:—
“ That the resignation of Mr. Arthur Landsel Gray as one of the Liquidators of the above company be accepted, and that Mr. William Ernest Best, Public Accountant, Christchurch, be appointed one of the Liquidators of the above company in his place.”

HAWERA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

COPY OF RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE PASSED ON THE 16TH OF JULY, 1915.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hawera Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,552, authorized to be raised by the Hawera Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of paying off a loan of £1,552 borrowed for street-improvement purposes, and which falls due on the 20th day of July, 1915, the said Hawera Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourteenth of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property of the Borough of Hawera, comprising the whole of the Borough of Hawera; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Eltham County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Eltham County Council, under Part III of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing one equal half-share of the cost of and erecting a ferro-concrete bridge exceeding 30 feet in span across the Patea River, on Rawhitiroa Road between the Eltham and Omona Ridings of the County of Eltham, the said Eltham County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one forty-eighth of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of capital value) of all rateable property in the Eltham Riding of the County of Eltham; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a properly convened ordinary meeting of the Eltham County Council held at Eltham on Saturday, the 10th day of July, 1915.
