ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Omona Riding of the County of Eltham was taken on the 30th day of June, 1915, on the proposal of the Eltham County Council to borrow the sum of £500 for the purpose of providing one equal half-share of the cost of erecting a ferro-concrete bridge, exceeding 30 ft. in span, across the Patea River, on Rawhitiroa Road, between the Eltham and Omona Ridings of the County of Eltham, and which proposal is more fully described in advertisement appearing in the Eltham Argus newspapers of 24th and 31st May, and 7th and 14th June, 1915.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 41; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was nil; informal vote, 1.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Result of Poll.—Loan for Water-supply.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that the following votes were recorded at the poll held on 28th April, 1915, upon the proposal to raise a special loan of £12,500 for the purpose of a water-supply for the Borough of Eastbourne: For the proposal, 217; against the proposal, 67.

I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

Notice of Result of Poll.

In the matter of the Town Boards Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Acts amending the same respectively.

I HEREBY give public notice that on Wednesday, the 7th day of July, 1915, a proposal was submitted by the Otane Town Board to the ratepayers of the Otane Town District for raising a special loan of £600 for the purpose of making provision for certain moneys (namely, the sum of £600) expended by the said Board in part payment for the following public works within the Otane Town District—that is to say, in part payment for town-hall site, being the section marked “Post-office Reserve” on the plan of the Township of Kaikora North (now called Otane), deposited in the Deeds Registry Office at Napier under No. 15, and the buildings erected thereon, and the balance in part payment for certain additions or improvements to the said buildings upon the said site; and that the number of votes recorded respectively for and against the proposal was as follows: For the proposal, 38; against the proposal, 2; majority for the proposal, 36; informal votes, 0.

I hereby declare the said proposal to be carried.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Willis Street, in the Town of Oneroa Extension No. 4, of a Width of not less than 66 ft.

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of the Borough of Te Aroha.

Wellington, 10th July, 1915.

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, it is hereby notified that a petition, in accordance with regulations, signed by not less than one-fourth of the electors of the area described in the Schedule hereto, being part of the County of Ohinemuri, has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, praying that the said area may be excluded from the said county and included in the Borough of Te Aroha. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration within one month from the first publication of this notice. Such objections or petitions are to be addressed and forwarded to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
