ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this fifth day of
July, 1915.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him
by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excell-
lency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that
the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall,
on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a
Government road.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road declared a Govern-
ment road:
1 acre 2 roods 14 perches, adjoining or passing through
Koiro Block No. 5c. Situated in Blocks III and VII.
1 acre 3 roods 15 perches, adjoining or passing through
Koiro Block No. 4D. Situated in Block III.
13 acres 1 rood 11 perches, adjoining or passing through
Koiro Block No. 4E. Situated in Blocks III and VII.
9 perches, adjoining or passing through Crown land.

License authorizing the Tai Tapu Co-operative Dairy Com-
pany (Limited) to erect Electric Lines in Portions of Papa-
rua, Halswell, and Springs Counties in the Provincial
District of Canterbury.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this fifth day of
July, 1915.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two of the Public Works Amend-
ment Act, 1911, it is provided that no person shall
lay, construct, place, put up, or use any electric line except
under the authority of a license issued by the Governor in
Council under that Act:
And whereas the Tai Tapu Co-operative Dairy Company
(Limited) (hereinafter referred to as "the licensee") desires
to erect lines within the area of supply as defined in the
Schedule hereto, and hereinafter called "the area of supply,"
and it is expedient accordingly to issue a license in respect
thereof under the said section:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred upon him by the said section, and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excell-
lency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth, subject to the conditions set
forth in the Schedule hereto, and to the regulations made
under section two of the aforesaid Act, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette dated the twenty-ninth day of April,
one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and hereinafter
referred to as "the regulations," hereby authorize the licensee
to erect and maintain electric lines for lighting, power, and
heating purposes within the area of supply hereinafter de-
scribed, such electric lines at present proposed to be erected

SCHEDULE.
I. AREA OF SUPPLY.
The area of supply comprises portion of the Paparua County
coloured red, portion of the Halswell County coloured green,
and portion of the Springs County coloured blue; all in the
Halswell Survey District, in the Provincial District of Canter-
bury: as indicated by a distinctive border coloured black on
P.W.D. 37092, deposited in the office of the Minister of
Public Works, Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wel-
ington.

  1. SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
    The system of supply shall be as described in paragraphs
    (c) and (e) of clause 2 of the regulations.
    Electrical energy shall be supplied in bulk by the Public
    Works Department from the Lake Coleridge supply at a
    pressure of 11,000 volts between phases.
    This supply shall be transformed from 11,000 volts to
    3,300 volts for primary distribution, and to 400 or 230 volts
    for secondary distribution.

  2. DATUM TEMPERATURE.
    For the purpose of calculating the stresses as provided in
    clause 12 of the regulations, the datum temperature shall be
    taken as 12 degrees F.

  3. NOTICES re EXTENSIONS, ETC.
    Records of results of tests (Regulation 37), and notices re
    commencement of work (Regulation 44) and re extensions and
    alterations (Regulation 49), should be sent to the Public
    Works Engineer at present stationed at Christchurch, and to
    the Telegraph Engineer of the district, or his deputy, at present
    stationed at Christchurch.

  4. CHARGES FOR ELECTRIC ENERGY.
    The charge for electrical energy shall not exceed 9d. per
    unit for lighting purposes, and 6d. per unit for motor-power,
    heating, or cooking purposes; provided that "lighting pur-
    poses" shall include the operation of motor generators for
    lighting purposes.

  5. DURATION OF LICENSE.
    This license shall, unless sooner determined in accordance
    with the provisions hereinafter expressed, continue in force
    for a period of forty-two years from the date hereof. Upon
    the expiry of the said term, or upon the sooner determination
    of this license by revocation or otherwise, all rights hereby
    granted to the licensee shall thereupon cease and determine;
    but such expiration or determination shall not relieve the
    licensee of any liability theretofore incurred under this license.

  6. SPRINGS COUNTY.
    In so far as this license affects that portion of the Springs
    County described in the area of supply it shall be void and of
    no effect upon receipt by the licensee of a notice in writing
    from the Minister of Public Works to the effect that a license
    has been issued to the Springs County Council authorizing it
    to erect electric lines within its district, in terms of section 2
    of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911.

include Goat's Rue.--Notice No. 1786.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this fifth day of
July, 1915.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908
(hereinafter called "the said Act"), His Excellency the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, doth hereby extend the operation of the
Third Schedule of the said Act by including the plant known
as goat's rue (Galega officinalis); and it is hereby declared
that this Order shall come into force on the day of the publica-
tion hereof in the Gazette.
