AUTOMATIC STAMPING COMPANY (LIMITED).

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the Automatic Stamping Company (Limited), in voluntary liquidation.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held at the company’s registered offices, Hereford Street, in the City of Christchurch, on 17th December, 1914, the following resolutions were duly passed; and at a second extraordinary meeting duly convened and held at the same place on the 12th day of January, 1915, were duly confirmed as special resolutions, viz.:

  1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
  2. That Arthur Horace Gilby, Accountant, of Royal Exchange Buildings, Christchurch, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

CAMBRIDGE ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Cambridge Road Board proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the graveling of the public roads within the jurisdiction of the said Board; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that plans of the lands so required to be taken are deposited in the public office of the Secretary to the said Cambridge Road Board, situate at Duke Street, Cambridge, and are open to inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands must set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Secretary of the Cambridge Road Board at the office at Cambridge aforesaid.

THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Thames County Council, by resolution passed on the twenty-second day of December, 1914, decided that Part Two of the Motor Regulation Act, 1908 (providing for constitution of registering authorities for registration of motors), shall be brought into operation in the Thames County, and that the date upon which such Part of the said Act is first to be brought into operation shall be the twenty-second day of January, 1915.

WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waimarino County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Waimarino County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of trimming, forming, and metalling the unmetalled portions of the Raetihi–Ohura Road from the top of Harris’s Hill to the bridge over the Orautoha Stream near Meyer’s, a distance of about 3 miles 70 chains, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of threepence and seven-eighths of a penny (3¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ohura Road Special-rating District, comprising all the properties situated within the following boundaries:—

Commencing at a point where the east boundary of Section 1, Blk. II, Makotuku S.D., joins the Raetihi–Ohura Road; thence generally east by the Pipipi Road to the west boundary of Section 1, Blk. II, Makotuku S.D.; thence generally north and north-west by the west and south-west boundaries of Sections 1, 2, and 3, Blk. II, Makotuku S.D., to Section 20, Blk. XIV, Manganui S.D.; thence north-west and north by the west boundaries of Section 20, Blk. XIII and XIV, Manganui S.D., and Sections 10, 9, and 8, Blk. XIII, Manganui S.D., to the south boundary of Section 6, Blk. XIII, Manganui S.D.; thence east by the south boundaries of Sections 6 and 7, Blk. XIII, Manganui S.D., to the east side of the Raetihi–Ohura Road; thence north by the east side of the said Raetihi–Ohura Road to the north boundary of Section 23, Blk. XIV, Manganui S.D.; thence east by the said north boundary of Section 23, Blk. XIV, Manganui S.D., to the east boundary of Section 23, Blk. XIV, Manganui S.D.; thence south by the east boundaries of Sections 23, 25, 26, 27, and 29, Blk. XIV, Manganui S.D., to the north boundary of Section 7, Blk. XIV, Manganui S.D.; thence east by the said north boundary of the said Section 7, Blk. XIV, Manganui S.D., to the Pukekaha Road; thence generally south by the Pukekaha Road to the north-east boundary of Section 1, Blk. II, Makotuku S.D.; thence south-east and south-west by the north-east and south-west boundaries of the said Section 1, Blk. II, Makotuku S.D., to the starting-point: comprising all the following properties—Sections 1, 2, and 3, Blk. II, Makotuku S.D.; Sections 8, 9, 9A, 9B, 10, 20, and 36, Blk. XIII, Manganui S.D.; Sections 7, 14, 23, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29, Blk. XIV, Manganui S.D.

And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Commencing at a point where the western boundary of Section 9, Blk. I, Ngamatea S.D., joins the Ohotu–Karioi Road; thence north and east by the west and north boundaries of the said Section 9, Blk. I, Ngamatea S.D., to the west boundary of Section 10, Blk. XV, Makotuku S.D.; thence north by the west boundaries of Sections 10 and 9, Blk. XV, Makotuku S.D., to the south boundary of Section 8, Blk. XV, Makotuku S.D.; thence west and north by the south and west boundaries of the said Section 8, Blk. XV, Makotuku S.D., to the Oruakukuru–Karioi Road; thence west by the said Oruakukuru–Karioi Road to the west boundary of Section 1, Blk. XI, Makotuku S.D.; thence north and west by the west and north boundaries of the said Section 1, Blk. XI, Makotuku S.D., and the north boundary of Section 2, Blk.
