WAIMARINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

THAT, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waimarino County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Waimarino County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of felling, clearing, and forming the Matahiwi-Ohotu Road into a dray-road from its junction with the Parapara-Raetihi Road westwards, a distance of about 4 miles, the said Waimarino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny farthing (1¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ohotu No. 3 Special-rating District, comprising all the properties situated within the following boundaries:—

Commencing at a point where the south boundary of Section 1, Blk. I, Ngamatea S.D., joins the Mangawhero River; thence generally east and north by the south and east boundaries of the said Section 1, Blk. I, Ngamatea S.D., to the Mangawhero River; thence south by the Mangawhero River to the east boundary of Section 1, Blk. VIII, Tauakira S.D.; thence north-west, south-west, and south-east by the north-east, north-west, and south-west boundaries of the said Section 1, Blk. VIII, Tauakira S.D., to the Matahiwi-Ohotu Road; thence generally west by the Matahiwi-Ohotu Road to the west boundary of Section 2, Blk. VIII, Tauakira S.D.; thence generally south by the west boundary of the said Section 2, Blk. VIII, Tauakira S.D., and Section 4, Blk. V, Ngamatea S.D., to the south boundary of the said Section 4, Block V, Ngamatea S.D.; thence north-east by the south boundary of the said Section 4, Blk. V, Ngamatea S.D., to the Mangawhero River; thence generally north by the Mangawhero River to the starting-point: comprising all the following properties—Sections 1 and 2, Blk. SPECIAL ORDER.

UNDER THE LOCAL BODIES’ LOANS ACT, 1913.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Karaka Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,850, authorized to be raised by the said Karaka Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for constructing two bridges over the Hingaia and Whangamaiore Creeks, taking land for a road to give access to the said bridges, and incidental expenses connected thereto, the said Karaka Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one-eighth (1⅛d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property in a special-rating area comprising part of Ward II of the Karaka Road District as hereunder described, as per resolution of 16th August, 1913, being all the land on the N. or left side of a line formed by the road which starts from a point in the western boundary of the Karaka Road District, and of Section 50, and bounds Sections 47, 48, and 49; thence by the road fronting Section 234 to the new road through Sections 234, 52, and 53, to the Karaka-Waiau Road; thence by the last-mentioned road to the Whangapouri Creek; the said area being comprised in Blocks I, II, III, V, VI, and VII, Drury Survey District, and consisting of Sections 1 to 49 inclusive, Sections 51, 54, and 55, part of Sections 50, 52, 53, and 234, Parish of Karaka, and the Native Reserves 390, 391, 392, 415, and 417: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The foregoing special order was made at a special meeting on 3rd December, 1914, which had been duly convened for the purpose, and was confirmed at a special meeting on 31st December, 1914.

NOTICE OF CHANGE OF NAME.

WE, ALBERT CHRISTIAN HENRY COLE (heretofore called and known by the name of Albert Christian Henry Kolberg), of Auckland, in the Provincial District of Auckland, in New Zealand, Hairdresser, and LILY ANN COLE, wife of the said Albert Christian Henry Cole (heretofore called and known by the name of Lily Ann Kolberg), hereby give public notice that on the thirteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, we formally and absolutely renounced, relinquished, and abandoned the use of our said surname of “Kolberg,” and then assumed and adopted and determined thenceforth on all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “Cole” instead of the said name of “Kolberg”; and we give further notice that by a deed-poll dated the thirteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, duly executed and attested and enrolled in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Northern District, we formally and absolutely renounced and abandoned the said surname of “Kolberg,” and declared that we had assumed and adopted and intended thenceforth upon all occasions whatsoever to use and subscribe the name of “COLE” instead of “Kolberg,” and so as to be at all times thereafter called, known, and described by the name of “COLE” exclusively.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between us, the undersigned, JAMES WILLIAM RANSON and THOMAS HOSKINS ROSSER, carrying on business as Builders and Contractors at the City of Wellington, under the style or firm of “Ranson & Rosser,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 15th day of January, 1915, from which date the business will be carried on by the said JAMES WILLIAM RANSON, who will discharge all the liabilities of the Partnership, and to whom all moneys owing to the Partnership must be paid.
