UPPER HUTT TOWN BOARD.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Upper Hutt Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of £350, authorized to be raised by the Upper Hutt Town Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Town Board Act, 1908, and all amendments thereof respectively, for the purpose of providing equipment for a fire brigade for the said Upper Hutt Town District, the said Upper Hutt Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/20th of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the Upper Hutt Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of one thousand nine hundred and twenty pounds (£1,920), authorized to be raised by the said Council, under section 18 (1) of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing a streets-improvement scheme for which a previous loan of £19,200 was found to be insufficient, the said Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/11th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of April and October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution duly passed by the Whangarei Borough Council at a meeting of such Council held on the 11th day of January, 1915.

WHANGAREI BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Whangarei Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on the loan of £4,200, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under section 69 of the Public Health Act, 1908, for the following purpose—the installation of drainage for the Whangarei Hospital and Horahora Public School, and a portion of the Whangarei Borough—the said Whangarei Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/32nds of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Whangarei; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate, and be payable half-yearly on the first days of April and October until the said loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution duly passed by the Whangarei Borough Council at a meeting of such Council held on the 7th day of December, 1914.

MANGERE ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Mangere Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Mangere Road Board, local authority of the Inhabitants of the Mangere Road District, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the purchase of land being Lot 16, Section 30, Onehunga, for the purpose of widening the approach to the new Mangere Bridge, and for the improvement and completion of approach to the said bridge at the Onehunga end thereof, the said Mangere Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixteenth of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Mangere Road District, comprising the whole of the said lands within the boundaries of the said road district as described in an Order in Council dated the 17th day of August, 1896, published in the New Zealand Government Gazette for 1896, at page 1311; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 31st day of March in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Mangere Road Board duly convened and held on the eleventh day of January, 1915, in strict conformity with law.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between WILLIAM KELLAHAN, of Fairview, near Timaru, Chaff-cutter, and GEORGE TALBOT, of Kingsdown, near Timaru, Farmer, in the threshing-machine business in the South Canterbury District, under the style of “Kellahan & Co.,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as at the 13th day of January, 1915. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by WILLIAM KELLAHAN, who will continue to carry on the said business.

DOMINION PRESSURE MILKING-MACHINE COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1908; and in the matter of the Dominion Pressure Milking-machine Company (Limited), in voluntary liquidation.

NOTICE is hereby given that the creditors of the above-named company are required, on or before the 11th day of February, 1915, to send their names and addresses, and particulars of their debts or claims, to HERBERT DOUGLAS VICKERY, 100 Customhouse Quay, Wellington, the Liquidator of the said company; and also, if so required by notice in writing from the said Liquidator, are personally or by their solicitor to come in and prove their said debts or claims, at such time and place as shall be specified in such notice, or in default thereof they will be excluded from the benefit of any such distribution made before such debts are proved.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the Dominion Pressure Milking-machine Company (Limited) held on the 1st December, 1914, the following resolution was passed, and was confirmed as a special resolution at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on the 16th December, 1914.

“That the company be wound up voluntarily.”
