powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby validate the said proceedings; and doth hereby further order and declare that the said proceedings shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though the said roll had been legally deposited and the public notification thereof and of all matters in connection therewith given in the proper manner, and that the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall not be called into question by reason only of the irregularities aforesaid.

Vesting Public Cemeteries in the Ashburton Borough Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this nineteenth day of January, 1915.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been duly set apart as cemeteries: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Corporation of the Borough of Ashburton:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Corporation of the Borough of Ashburton, in trust, for public cemeteries.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres, more or less, being Reserve No. 298, Town of Ashburton. Bounded towards the north-east by Kermode Street, 1000 links; towards the south-east by the south-eastern town-belt, 250 links; towards the south-west by Section No. 298x (closed road), 600 links and 471·7 links; and towards the north-west by William Street, 500 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 27893/53A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Also all that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 20 acres 1 rood 23 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 2283, Block XIII, Ashburton Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by a railway reserve, 1051·4 links and 337·2 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 1400·5 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 23387, 1395·9 links; and towards the north-east by Reserve No. 1775, 1511·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 27893/53B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Vesting a Reserve in Te Puke Town Board.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twelfth day of January, 1915.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved as a site for a public pound: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Te Puke Town Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Te Puke Town Board, in trust, as a site for a public pound.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 1 rood 2 perches, more or less, being Section 1, Block VI, Atuaroa Village. Bounded towards the north by Section 2, Block VI, Atuaroa Village, 200 links; towards the east by Karaka Street, 133 links; towards the south by Third Avenue, 200 links; and towards the west by Section 4, Block VI aforesaid, 133 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/657, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan 17296, blue.)

Lands temporarily reserved in the Auckland, Hawke’s Bay, and Otago Land Districts.


LIVERPOOL, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the lands described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so intended to be temporarily reserved.


SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 22 acres 1 rood 13 perches, more or less, being Section 38, Block XVI, Otamatea Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 847·1, 299·6, 599·6, and 344·1 links; towards the south-east by Section 40, Block XVI, Otamatea Survey District, 1938 links; and towards the south-west and north-west by right lines, 1313·3, 688·1, and 516·1 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. XXII/462, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan 17528, blue.) For an agricultural and pastoral show-ground and a public recreation-ground.

Also all that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 1 acre 3 roods 11 perches, more or less, being Section 666, Town of Ngaruawahia. Bounded towards the north-east by Galileo Street, 588·5 links; towards the south-east by Ellery Street, 146 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 672·4 links; and towards the north-west by Kepler Street, 473·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 5245/8, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged purple. (Auckland Plan 17779, blue.) For a site for a public school.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 2 perches, more or less, being part Awatoto Suburban Section 9, Block VIII, Heretaunga Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a road for a distance of 412·5 links; towards the east by Railway Reserve for a distance of 125 links; towards the south by the abutment of a road and by Tutaē Omahu No. 2 Block for a distance of 417·6 links; and towards the west by Te Waitangi Road for a distance of 124 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. VI/1(39), deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For railway purposes.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres and 20 perches, more or less, being Sections 171 to 175, Town of Komako. Bounded towards
