Altering the Middle-line of a Portion of the Kawakawa-
Hokianga Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS under the provisions in that behalf of sec-
tion one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public
Works Act, 1908, the middle-line of a portion of the
Kawakawa-Hokianga Railway was defined by a Proclama-
tion dated the fifteenth day of August, one thousand nine
hundred and thirteen, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette
No. 64, of the twenty-first day of the same month:

And whereas it has been found necessary in the construc-
tion of such railway to alter a portion of such line in
manner hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zea-
land, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred
upon me by the aforesaid section one hundred and eighty-
eight, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me
in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the Schedule to
the said Proclamation as defines the middle-line of the said
railway beyond the point marked 19 miles 40 chains,
shown on plan numbered P.W.D. 33949 referred to therein;
and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim and declare that
the middle-line of the said railway, commencing at the
said point marked 19 miles 40 links, and terminating at
21 miles, shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule
hereto.


SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point in Te Taraiire No. 2 Native Block,
Block XV, Omapere Survey District, marked 19 miles
40 chains on the line of the railway defined by Proclamation
dated the 15th day of August, 1913, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette No. 64 of the 21st day of the same
month; proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction
generally for a distance of 1 mile 40 chains, and passing in,
into, through, or over the following lands, &c.—viz., Te
Taraiire No. 2 Block, Blocks XV and XI, Omapere Survey
District—and terminating at a point marked 21 miles in the
said Te Taraiire No. 2 Block about 15 chains east of the
eastern boundary of Omapere 1b Block; including all ad-
joining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks,
lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses; in the Auckland
Land District: as the same is delineated on the plan marked
P.W.D. 37906, deposited in the office of the Minister of
Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial
District.

Defining the Middle-line of a Further Portion of the Whangarei
Branch of the North Auckland Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Whangarei Branch of the North Auck-
land Railway (hereinafter termed “the said rail-
way”) is a railway the construction of which is authorized
by the Railways Authorization Act, 1912: And whereas
the said railway has been partly constructed, and it has been
determined to construct and maintain a further portion of
the same:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities con-
ferred on me by section one hundred and eighty-eight of the
Public Works Act, 1908, and in exercise of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the middle-line of the said
further portion of the said railway shall be that defined and
set forth in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point in Section 56, Block VIII, Tangihua
Survey District, marked 15 miles 5 chains, which point is
also the termination of the railway described in a Proclama-
tion dated the 26th day of March, 1914, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette No. 34, page 1340, of the 2nd day of the
following month, and proceeding thence in a southerly and
south-westerly direction generally for a distance of about
4 miles 7267·72 links, and passing in, into, through, or over
the following lands, &c.—viz., Section 56, Blocks VIII and
XI, Tangihua Survey District, Henry Walton’s Grant No. 4A;
Sections 109, 109 N.E., 107 N.E., and 107 N.E.M., Block XI,
Tangihua Survey District; Sections 107 N.E.M., 107 S.W.M.,
107 S.W., 105, N.E. 27, S.W. 27, 26, Block X, Tangihua
Survey District; Sections 36, 22, N. 21, S. 21, and 33,
Block XIV, Tangihua Survey District; and terminating at
a point on the road reserve between Sections 33 and 17,
Block XIV, Tangihua Survey District, marked 19 miles
7767·72 links; including all adjoining and intervening places,
lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and
watercourses; all in the Land District of Auckland: as the
same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 37808, de-
posited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

WHEREAS the further portion of the North Auckland
Railway from McCarroll’s Gap to the left bank of
the Wairoa River, in Block VII, Maungaru Survey District
(hereinafter termed “the said railway”), is a railway the
construction of which is authorized by the Railways Autho-
rization Act, 1911: And whereas it has been determined to
construct and maintain a portion of the same:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities conferred upon me by the Public Works Act,
1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise
enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare
that the middle-line of the said further portion of the said
railway shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule
hereto.
