Notifying Land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1908.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and its amendments, I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Gwavas Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Acts, is subject to the said Acts as from 28th February, 1915.
SCHEDULE.
GWAVAS SETTLEMENT.
ALL that part of the Gwavas Estate in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 5,984 acres 2 roods 17 perches, more or less, exclusive of roads, being Block 2 and parts Blocks 1, 3, and 4, and Crown land, Gwavas Crown-grant District. Bounded towards the north-west generally by part Blocks 4, 1, and 3, Gwavas Crown-grant District, for distances of 12400·6 and 14850·7 links, and by other part of the said Gwavas Estate for 12596·9 links; towards the north-east by other part of the said Gwavas Estate for 15803·1 links and by Kereru–Waipawa Road; towards the south-west and again towards the south-east by other part of said Gwavas Estate for distances of 18597·9 and 5597·4 links; towards the north-east by Matheson’s Road; towards the south-east by other part of said Gwavas Estate for a distance of 1184·2 links; and towards the south and south-west generally by Mangamauku Stream: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 19464, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and its amendments, I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Teschemaker Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Acts, is subject to the said Acts as from 30th March, 1915.
SCHEDULE.
TESCHEMAKER SETTLEMENT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 3,591 acres 2 roods 34 perches, more or less, situated in Blocks XIII and XIV, Otaio, and II, Waimate Survey Districts, being the whole of the land comprised in Transfer No. 106177, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 19469, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.
Also 40 acres, situated in Block II, Waimate Survey District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 19469, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks X and XVII, Pakawau Survey District, for a Mining-work.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Coal-mines Act, 1908, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of a mining-work.
And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Collingwood, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Mines at Wellington.

Prohibition of Money-order and Postal Correspondence for Ernest Barry, Geneva.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the person whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said person shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said person (either by his own or any fictitious or assumed name), shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Tenders for Motor-lorry Tires and Alterations to Wheels.
Post and Telegraph Department,
Wellington, 18th May, 1915.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Controller of Stores, Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington, not later than 4 p.m. on Monday, the 14th June, 1915, for supplying and fitting solid band tires, also altering, replacing, or supplying new wheels for motor vehicles.
Copies of the conditions and forms of tender may be obtained at the office of the Controller of Stores, Wellington, District Storekeeper, Christchurch, or at the offices of the Telegraph Engineers, Auckland and Dunedin.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
