In the matter of the JACOBSEN DESTINATION INDICATOR COMPANY (LIMITED).

AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company duly convened and held at the registered office of the company, No. 21 Crawford Street, Dunedin, on the fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed :-

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily; and that SAMUEL PHILIP MIRAMS, of Dunedin, Accountant, be and he is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.”

THE COMPANIES ACT, 1908.

WHAREORA COAL PROPRIETARY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution was passed at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company held at Auckland on the 12th day of April, 1915, and confirmed at a subsequent general meeting of the company held at Auckland on the 30th day of April, 1915 :-

“That the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.”

And further that at the said meeting on the 30th day of April, 1915, Mr. ROBERT HOOD, of Victoria Arcade, Auckland, was appointed Liquidator.

PAHIATUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL LOAN, £500—WOODVILLE-AOHANGA ROAD.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Pahiatua County Council hereby resolves as follows :-

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of five hundred pounds, authorized to be raised by the Pahiatua County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for reforming and metalling a portion of the Woodville - Aohanga Road, the said Pahiatua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny three-farthings in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Woodville - Aohanga Special-rating Area, comprising Sections 2A, 2B, Block IX, 14, Blocks VI and X, 9, 10, Block X, all in the Makuri Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Pahiatua County Council held on 10th April, 1915.

NOTICE UNDER THE EDUCATION ACT, 1914, AND THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Education Board of the District of Auckland intends to take, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, for the purposes of a public school, the following land, namely :-

All that piece of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing one acre and fourteen perches and eighty one-hundredths of a perch, more or less, being portion of Lots 12 and 13 of Allotment 30 of Section 8 of the Suburbs of Auckland.

A plan of the said land is deposited at the office of the said Board situated in Williamson’s Chambers, Shortland Street, in the City of Auckland, and is there open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours.

All persons affected are hereby required and called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the erection of a public school or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Education Board of the District of Auckland, addressed to the Secretary of the said Board at the office of the said Board situated at Williamson’s Chambers, Shortland Street, Auckland aforesaid.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between HAROLD BARTLEET and WILLIAM HENRY WHEELER, carrying on business as Plumbers at Auckland, under the style or firm of “Bartleet & Wheeler,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the 31st day of March, 1915, so far as concerns the said Harold Bartleet, who retires from the said firm.
