AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL order made at a special meeting of the Auckland City
Council held on the 4th day of March, 1915, and confirmed at
the ordinary meeting of the said Council held in the Council
Chamber, Town Hall, Auckland, on Thursday, 8th day of
April, 1915, at 7 o’clock p.m., viz. :—
“ That the Auckland City Council doth hereby, by special
resolution intended to operate as a special order, resolve that
the total number of members of the Council be increased to
twenty-one Councillors, exclusive of the Mayor.”
The common seal of the body corporate of the Mayor,
Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland was affixed
hereto this 8th day of April, 1915, in the presence of—

BOROUGH OF WOOLSTON.

Result of Poll.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act,
1913, I hereby give notice that at a poll of ratepayers of the
Borough of Woolston taken on the 5th day of March, 1915,
on the proposal of the Woolston Borough Council to borrow
the sum of £6,350 for the purpose of supplying the borough
with electricity, the number of votes recorded for the proposal
was 234, the number of votes recorded against the proposal
was 195, and the number of votes recorded as informal
was 17.
I therefore declare the proposal was carried.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.

Harapepe-Te Rore Special-rating District.—Loan of £1,000
for the Purpose of forming and metalling the Harapepe-
Te Rore Road.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 12 of the Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that the following is
the result of a poll of the ratepayers of the Harapepe-Te
Rore Special-rating District taken on the 6th April, 1915,
on the proposal to borrow the sum of £1,000 for the purpose
of forming and metalling the Harapepe-Te Rore Road :
Total number of valid votes recorded, 46 ; for the proposal,
34 ; against the proposal, 12.
The number of valid votes recorded in favour of the pro-
posal being more than three-fifths of the total number of valid
votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal to be carried.

the result of a poll of the ratepayers of the Bothwell-Woodleigh
Special-rating District taken on the 6th April, 1915, on the
proposal to borrow the sum of £500 for the purpose of metal-
ling the Bothwell-Woodleigh Road : Total number of valid
votes recorded, 36 ; for the proposal, 29 ; against the pro-
posal, 7.
The number of valid votes recorded in favour of the pro-
posal being more than three-fifths of the total number of
valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal to be
carried.

the result of a poll of the ratepayers of the Whangape-Awaroa
Special-rating District taken on the 6th April, 1915, on the
proposal to borrow the sum of £750 for the purpose of im-
proving the Awaroa and Whangape Creeks and the Whangape
Lake, and for metalling the Awaroa Landing Road : Total
number of valid votes recorded, 28 ; for the proposal, 11 ;
against the proposal, 17.
The total number of votes recorded in favour of the pro-
posal not being equal to three-fifths of the total number of
valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal to be lost.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements
Consolidation Act, 1908, and its amendments, I hereby
notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land
known as the Parahi Settlement, which has been acquired
under the said Acts, is subject to the said Acts as from
30th November, 1914.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
2,137 acres, more or less, being east portion Allotment 73,
