PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding the office of Postmaster under the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, at the places set opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under the two-hundred-and-eighty-eighth section of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

of Spring Creek, Marlborough, to be Returning Officer and the person to prepare roll of electors for the purposes of the first election of five members of the Board of Trustees of the Wairau Maori Drainage Board as constituted under the Land Drainage Act, 1908; also to appoint Saturday, the 17th day of April, 1915, to be the day, and the Public School, Wairau Pa, to be the place, at which such first election shall be held; also to appoint Saturday, the 24th day of April, 1915, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, to be the time, and the said Public School at Wairau Pa to be the place, at which the first meeting of the Board of Trustees so elected shall be held.

OMAKA ROAD BOARD.
Special Order.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, and by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Omaka Road Board hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:—
That, for the purpose of raising the Omaka Road Board’s contribution to the Wairau Hospital and Charitable Aid Board for the erection of a new hospital, the Omaka Road Board hereby authorizes the raising of a special loan of one thousand pounds (£1,000) for the term of five years. That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on such loan, the said Omaka Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one fifty-fourth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Omaka Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
