Additional Land at Mangaroa taken for the Purposes of the Wellington-Napier Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Wellington-Napier Railway to take further land at Mangaroa, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 rood 22·9 perches.
Portion of Section 134 (S.O. 1258).
Situated in Block II, Rimutaka Survey District, Hutt County.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 22349, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon edged pink.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this sixth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifteen.

Consenting to stopping a Road in Block XII, Otamatea Survey District, Albertland South Road District, Rodney County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of March, 1915.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and thirty-three (a) of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:

And whereas the Albertland South Road Board has applied for such consent in respect of the road described in the Schedule hereto:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Albertland South Road Board stopping the road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road permitted to be stopped:—

2 acres 1 rood 38 perches, adjoining or passing through Sections W. 110 and E. 110.

1 acre 2 roods 28·1 perches, adjoining or passing through Sections N.E. 112 and N. 113.

3 roods 24·2 perches, adjoining or passing through Sections N.E. 112 and W. 113.

8 acres 0 roods 10 perches, adjoining or passing through Sections S. 112, W. 113, 122, 121, and W. 120.

Situated in Block XII, Otamatea Survey District, Oruawharo Parish (17472, blue).

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 37083, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Apportionment of Representation and Election of Representatives on the Waikato and Taumarunui Hospital and Charitable Aid Boards.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of March, 1915.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the Taumarunui Hospital District Act, 1914, the Taumarunui Hospital District was constituted: And whereas by the said Act it is enacted that the Board of the said hospital district shall consist of such number of representatives of the contributory districts within the hospital district as the Governor by Order in Council from time to time determines, and that the first election of members of the said Board shall be held on such day as the Governor by Order in Council appoints, and that the Governor may make all such provisions as are deemed necessary for the purposes of that election: And whereas by reason of the creation of the Taumarunui Hospital District, and by reason of changes in the population and value of the rateable property in the Waikato Hospital District, it is desirable to revise the apportionment of representation of contributory districts within the Waikato Hospital District:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the aforesaid Act, and also by the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, doth hereby determine that the number of representatives of each contributory district within the aforesaid hospital districts of Taumarunui and Waikato shall be as set forth in the Schedule hereto, and the principal authority of the combined districts shall be that indicated by (p) in the said Schedule, and that the first election of the representatives to the Taumarunui Hospital and Charitable Aid Board and of a representative to the Waikato Hospital and Charitable Aid Board for the combined district of Frankton, Ngaruawahia, and Te Awamutu Town Districts shall be held on Saturday, the third day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen; and doth hereby direct that the three members at present representing the combined districts of Waikato County and Huntly Town District shall decide among themselves which member shall retire from the Waikato Hospital and Charitable Aid Board as from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and failing agreement shall decide by lot in manner determined by the Board, and none of these representatives shall thereafter be entitled to speak or vote at a Board meeting or act in any capacity as a member of the Board until the necessary reduction is made: And it is further directed that until the date of the next ordinary general election of members of the local authority or, in the case of combined districts, of the principal local authority the two members at present representing the combined district of Waipa County, Frankton Borough, and Ngaruawahia and Te Awamutu Town Districts shall continue to represent the Waipa County; and the member at present representing the combined district of Matamata and Rotorua Counties shall continue to represent the Matamata County; and the members at present representing the combined district of Waitomo and Ohura Counties and the Te Kuiti Borough shall continue to represent the combined district of Waitomo County and the Te Kuiti Borough; and the member at present representing the Rotorua Town District shall continue to represent the combined district of Rotorua Town and County, unless seats of the above-mentioned representatives become earlier vacant under section twenty of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909; and the remaining members of the Waikato Hospital and Charitable Aid Board shall continue to hold office until the appointment of successors under the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, with the exception of the present member for the combined district of Kaitieke County and Taumarunui Borough, who shall cease to hold office on the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen: And it is hereby further
