And whereas by the sixty-ninth section of the Land for
Settlements Act, 1908, it is further provided that the
Governor may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside
reserves for any specified public purpose out of land ac-
quired under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no
land so acquired shall be set aside for endowments :
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby temporarily
reserve from sale the lands described in the Schedule here-
under written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified
at the end of the respective descriptions of the lands so
intended to be temporarily reserved.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing
5 acres 2 roods 32 perches, more or less, being Section 49,
Block III, Whangape Survey District. Bounded towards the
north-west by Section 40, Block III, Whangape Survey Dis-
trict, 1168·6 links; towards the east, south-east, and south-
west by public roads, 115·9, 401·4, 201·5, 454·9, 222·4, 242·1,
125·3, 330·6, and 342·4 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked
L. and S. I/560, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
(Auckland Plans 13359 and 15959, blue.) For a public
recreation-ground.
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 5 acres 1 rood 6 perches, more or less,
being Section 7 (Sherenden Settlement), Block VII, Matapiro
Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by a
public road for a distance of 1606·3 links; towards the south-
east by Section 2, Block VII, Matapiro Survey District, for a
distance of 706·3 links; and towards the south-west by Sec-
tion 1 of said block for a distance of 1336·2 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on
the plan marked L. and S. 19436/62, deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red. For a site for a public school.
Also all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 23 perches, more
or less, being Sections 11 and 13, Rakauroa Township.
Bounded towards the north generally by the Gisborne–
Rotorua Railway, 232·2, 154·8, and 257·9 links; towards the
north-east by a closed road, 326·4 links; towards the south
by Lot 2 of Section 6, Block XV, Motu Survey District, 902
links; and towards the west by a public road, 316 links:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is
delineated on the plan marked L. and S. VI/1 (27), deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered green. For a resting-place
for travelling stock.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Southland Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Section 4,
Block VII, Town of Woodend. Bounded towards the north
by Section 3, Block VII, Town of Woodend, 100 links;
towards the east by Section 5 of said block, 249·98 links;
towards the south by Blyth Street, 100 links; and towards
the west by Section 3 aforesaid, 250·13 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated
on the plan marked XXII/768, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red. For a site for a public hall and athenæum.
Also all that area in the Southland Land District, contain-
ing by admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods 28 perches, more or
less, being Section 42, Block VII, Longwood Survey District.
Bounded towards the north-west generally by Crown land,
309·9 links, 637 links, 289·5 links, and 500·5 links; towards
the east generally by a road, 289·7 links, 309·9 links, and
36·5 links; towards the south-east generally by Crown land,
553·7 links, 489·6 links, and 300·1 links; and towards the
south-west by Crown land, 286·9 links, to the point of com-
meucement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as
the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. VI/6 (33),
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Sur-
vey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered blue. For a site
for a public school.

of the aforesaid village, 183·5 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan
marked L. and S. 5214/81, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
edged red. (Auckland Plan 16640, blue.) For a site for a
post-office.
TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by
admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 30 perches, more or less, being
Section 38, Block I, Tangitu Survey District. Bounded to-
wards the north-west by Section 29, Block I, Tangitu Survey
District, 380·9 links; towards the north-east by Mangateka
Road, 1192·5 links; and towards the south-west generally
by the Mangateka Stream: be all the aforesaid linkages more
or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and
S. VI/6 (4), deposited in the Head Office, Department of
Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.
For a site for a public school.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Wellington Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1 rood 18·5 perches, more or less, being
Section 8, Block VII, Makotuku Survey District. Bounded
towards the north-east by the Pipiriki–Ohakune Road,
100 links; towards the south-east by Ngapakihi Block,
385·4 links; towards the south-west by the Raetihi Branch
Railway, 107·5 links; and towards the north-west by the
said Raetihi Branch Railway, 50 links, and by a public road,
311·8 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as
the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 48347/22,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and
Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For post
and telegraph purposes.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing
by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Section 10
(formerly part of Section 9), Block IV, Tennyson Survey
District. Bounded towards the north by Section 8, Block IV,
Tennyson Survey District, 329·3 links; towards the east
and south by remaining portion of said Section 9, 311·2
links and 329 links respectively; and towards the west by
a public road, one chain wide, 297 links: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. VI/6 (26), deposited in the Head
Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and
thereon bordered red. For a site for a public school.
SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.
All that area in the Southland Land District, containing by
admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods 25 perches, more or less, being
Section 39, Block IX, Waikaka Survey District. Bounded
towards the north by Section 40, Block IX, Waikaka Survey
District, 857·7 links; towards the east by Sections 19 and 41
of said block, 1368·4 links; towards the south-west by a road,
945·1 links; and towards the west by a road, 953·3 links:
