WAITOA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Waitoa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a further loan of £50 (being ten per centum of the amount of original loan of £500), authorized to be raised by the Waitoa Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act, to complete the construction of drainage-works in the Eastern Subdivision of the Waitoa Drainage District, the Waitoa Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-fortieths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Eastern Subdivision of the Waitoa Drainage District, being all that area between the centre-line of the Eastport Road and the Waitoa River, being Sections 9 to 17, inclusive, of the subdivision of the Waitoa Estate; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Waitoa Drainage Board held on the 21st day of November, 1914.

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—THE PETONE SEWAGE DRAINAGE SUPPLEMENTARY LOAN, 1915, OF £3,400.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Petone Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of three thousand four hundred pounds (£3,400), authorized to be raised, in pursuance of section 18 of the said Act, by the said Petone Borough Council, by resolution passed by the Council on the twenty-fifth day of January, 1915, for the purpose of providing a drainage system for the Eastern Petone Special Sewage Drainage Area, the said Petone Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth (1/12th) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the Eastern Petone Special-rating Area as set out and defined by a resolution of the Council passed on the fourteenth day of June, 1914; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the thirtieth day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five and a half (5½) years from the twenty-eighth day of August, 1914, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Petone Borough Council on the 25th January, 1915.

ONE-TREE HILL ROAD BOARD.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and its amendments, and of the taking under the said Act of certain land within the One-tree Hill Road Board District.

NOTICE is hereby given that the One-tree Hill Road Board proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for road purposes. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Board, Manukau Road, Epsom, Auckland, and is there open for inspection without fee during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have well-founded objections to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days of the publication of this notice, to the One-tree Hill Road Board, addressed to the Clerk at his said office.

APPROXIMATE area of the land to be taken: 3·25 perches. Being part of Allotment 7 of Section 12, situated in the Suburbs of Auckland.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Onslow propose, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, to lay out a new street in the borough in extension of the street known as Mona Crescent, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule below are required to be taken. And notice is hereby given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Borough Offices at Ballance Street, in the City of Wellington, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of such work or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice (that is the fourth day of February, 1915), to the Town Clerk, Borough of Onslow, at the office of the said borough, Ballance Street, Wellington.
