Lot 2 of 326A contains 3,568 acres. Chiefly pastoral country, with flat tops, steep and undulating spurs, covered with natural growth, tussock, fern, tutu, flax, manuka scrub, and patches of bush in places. Elevation varies from 940 ft. to 1,600 ft. above sea-level. Well watered by running streams. Fenced on east, south, and west boundaries. Several easy spurs and downs, a good portion of the flat tops, and a nice little flat in south-west corner suitable for cultivation—say, about 850 acres in all. Three water-races in use running through the property, with 25 links reserve on each side; also one hut and telephone wire. All mining rights and right of ingress and egress to water-races and hut are reserved. Good building and homestead site in the south-east corner. Access by metalled road within three chains of south-east corner. Distant four miles and a half from Switzers Railway-station and township.
Lot 3 of 326A contains 1,445 acres pastoral and agricultural land, 1,255 acres good pastoral country, and 190 acres rich river-flat suitable for cultivation and mixed farming. Altitude varies from 610 ft. to 2,179 ft. above sea-level. With exception of 190 acres mostly laid down in good English grasses, the balance (1,255 acres) is in its natural state, covered with good silver tussock, flax, fern, tutu, a little manuka scrub, and patches of bush; mostly undulating and steep spurs. Well watered by running streams. Fenced along east boundary. Water-race running through the north-east portion, and all mining rights are reserved. Access by metalled and new unformed road along river-flat. Distant about five miles from Freshford Siding, and about ten miles from Balfour.
Lot 4 of 326A contains 1,240 acres of pastoral and agricultural land; about 100 acres of good rich river-flat land suitable for cultivation and mixed farming, mostly laid down in English grasses; balance (1,140 acres) good pastoral country, varying from undulating land to fairly steep spurs, in natural state, covered with silver tussock, fern, flax, tutu, a little manuka scrub, and a few patches of bush. Altitude varies from 610 ft. to 1,410 ft. above sea-level. Well watered by running streams. No mining rights in existence. Fenced along east and south boundaries. Access by good metalled road. Distant about four miles and a half from Freshford Siding, and about ten miles from Balfour Township and railway-station.
SPECIAL CONDITION OF LICENSE.
Personal residence is to commence within one year, and to be continuous thereafter for ten years; but may then be dispensed with, providing an approved substitute be found who will reside for the residue of the term.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 326 of the Land Act, 1908, that the land known as the Telegraph Reserve, running through Sections 137, 138, 140, and 142, Parish of Tuhikaramea, will be disposed of under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, on or after Thursday, the 8th day of April, 1915. The approximate area of the said reserve is 3 acres 2 roods.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned small grazing-runs are open for selection; and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Monday, the 22nd day of March, 1915, under the provisions of the Land Act, 1908, and amendments.
SCHEDULE.
OPOTIKI COUNTY.—OTIPI SURVEY DISTRICT.
Section 2, Block II, and Section 2, Block V: Area, 4,250 acres; half-yearly rent, £51 7s. 6d.
Altitude, 1,000 ft. to 2,900 ft. above sea-level. Broken to very rough country, covered with totara, rimu, tawa, birch, tawhero, and tawhiri, with thick undergrowth of supplejack, tree fern, konini, makomako, mahoe, &c. Soil pumice loam, fair to poor in quality, on clay and rock formation; well watered by streams and river. Distant thirteen miles and a half from Motu Township—four miles by formed road, balance pack-track.
Section 1, Block V: Area, 2,900 acres; half-yearly rent, £45 6s. 3d.
Altitude, 1,000 ft. to 2,000 ft. above sea-level. Broken land, very rough towards back of section, covered with mixed forest, principally tawa and some totara, birch, tawhero, and tawhiri, with thick undergrowth of supplejack, punga, konini, makomako, &c. Soil a pumice loam, on clay and rotten rock; well watered by streams and river. Distant nine miles from Motu Township—four miles by dray-road, balance pack-track.
