That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also other charges on a loan of £4,500, authorized to be raised by the Hungahunga Drainage Board, under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of constructing new drainage-works—viz., to cleanse, widen, and deepen existing watercourses, drains, and outfalls, and to make and construct new watercourses, drains, and outfalls—the said Hungahunga Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of sevenpence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Hungahunga Drainage District Special-rating Area hereinafter described; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Special-rating Area.
All that area of land within the Hungahunga Drainage District commencing at the north-west corner of the Whakatakataka Block, and following in a southerly direction its western line, and including the Wairenga Section and the Taramorahi No. 1 Block, to the Wardville Road on its south side; then along such road in a westerly direction to the north-west corner of north part of Sec. 8; thence following in a southerly direction the western boundary-line of Sec. n/pt. 8, s/pt. 8, 8, 9, pt. 9, pt. 9A, 100, s/pt. and 9A to the south-east corner of Sec. 10 of Whangorau “A,” and along the north boundary-line of the aforesaid Sec. 10 to the Rotorua-Auckland Railway line on its eastern side, which along in a southerly direction to the south boundary of Sec. 13 of the Matamata Estate subdivision; thence along such Sec. 13 on its southern boundary to the western boundary-line of Sec. 16, which along in a south-easterly direction to the county road, but not including such road; then following the said county road in a north-easterly and then a northerly direction to the northern corner of Sec. 27A; thence along the western boundary-line of Sec. 27A, 27, 26, and 24A to the east corner of Sec. 8 of Whangorau “B”; thence along the north boundary of the aforesaid Sec. 8, the south-east corner of Taramoarahi No. 3, and along its eastern boundary to the south-east corner of the Whakatakataka Block, and along the eastern boundary to its north-east corner; thence following the north boundary-line in a westerly direction to its north-west corner and the point of commencement.
I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of a resolution passed by the Hungahunga Drainage Board at a meeting held on the 6th day of December, 1915.

ELTHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL.
COPY OF RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Eltham Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That, for the purpose of providing the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the said Eltham Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing and installing at the Eltham Borough Gasworks a foul main, retort-house governor, tower-scrubber, coke-cutter, exhauster, tar-tank, and additional retorts; to purchase additional gas-fittings, to renovate show-room for gas-fittings, and to provide any other plant or fittings necessary or incidental to the generation and supply of coal-gas; the said Eltham Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/16th of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Eltham. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of November during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six (36) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a properly constituted special meeting of the Eltham Borough Council held on the 6th day of December, 1915. Dated this 8th day of December, 1915.

THE following resolution was passed at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the above-named company convened and held on Monday, the 15th day of November, 1915, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting convened and held on Wednesday, 1st day of December, 1915. RESOLUTION.—“That the company be wound up voluntarily; and that E. G. PINKER, Accountant, Auckland, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.” E. G. AT an ordinary general meeting of shareholders of the Colonial Acetylene Contracting Company of N.Z. (Limited) held at the registered office, 16 Wyndham Street, Auckland, on the 2nd inst., the following extraordinary resolution was proposed, seconded, and carried :— “That, it being proved to the satisfaction of shareholders that the company cannot by reason of its capital losses continue its business, it is advisable to wind up the same; and that Mr. Geo.
