Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

Wellington, 14th December, 1915.

THE following notice, received from the Freshfield Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913.

FRESHFIELD DRAINAGE BOARD.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise Loan of £1,500.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Freshfield Drainage District was taken on the 8th day of December, 1915, upon the proposal of the Freshfield Drainage Board to borrow the sum of £1,500 for the purpose of widening, deepening, and improving generally the main drains of the Freshfield Drainage District.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 27; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 2.

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

Clause 1 of Schedule to Lake County Motor By-law (No. 13) disallowed.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by subsection (2) of section 4 of the Motor Regulation Act, 1908, I, George Warren Russell, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby disallow clause 1 of the Schedule to the by-law known as Lake County Motor By-law (No. 13) made under the said section of the said Act by the Lake County Council on the 17th day of July, 1912, and which came into force on the 28th day of August, 1912; and I do hereby notify for public information that on and after the date of gazetting hereof the road described in the Schedule hereto will in consequence of such disallowance as aforesaid no longer be prohibited for motors.


SCHEDULE.

THE portion of the Queenstown to Cromwell main road (known as the Frankton Road) within Lake County extending from the boundary of the Borough of Queenstown (Suburb Street) to the south-west corner of Section 29, Block XXI, Shotover Survey District, near the Frankton Jetty, comprising a distance measured along the said road of 2 miles and 20 chains, or thereabouts.

As witness my hand, at Wellington, this 11th day of December, 1915.

Meetings of Canterbury Land Board.

HIS Excellency the Governor has, in pursuance of section 48 of the Land Act, 1908, approved of meetings of the Canterbury Land Board being held at the District Lands and Survey Office, Christchurch, at 10 o’clock a.m. on 6th January, 3rd February, 2nd March, 6th April, 4th May, 1st June, 6th July, 3rd August, 7th September, 5th October, 2nd November, and 7th December during the year 1916.

Appointment of Member of Revaluation Committee.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1915, I, William Ferguson Massey, the Minister of Lands for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the District Valuer under the Valuation of Land Act, 1908, as a member of the Revaluation Committee for the land district or part thereof in which the land to be revalued is situated.

Appointment of Member of Revaluation Committee.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1915, I, William Ferguson Massey, the Minister of Lands for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Herbert Bismark Matthews, Esquire, of Kaitaia, Farmer, to be a member of the Revaluation Committee for the northern portion of the Auckland Land District, for a period of one year from the 1st day of January, 1916.

Appointment of Member of Revaluation Committee.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1915, I, William Ferguson Massey, the Minister of Lands for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint James Boddie, Esquire, of Te Kuiti, Farmer, to be a member of the Revaluation Committee for the southern portion of the Auckland Land District, for a period of one year from the 1st day of January, 1916.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1915, I, William Ferguson Massey, the Minister of Lands for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint William Arthur McCutchan, Esquire, of Whangamomona, Farmer, to be a member of the Revaluation Committee for the Taranaki Land District, for a period of one year from the 1st day of January, 1916.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1915, I, William Ferguson Massey, the Minister of Lands for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint George Grant, Esquire, of Gisborne, Licensed Surveyor and Valuer, to be a member of the Revaluation Committee for the Poverty Bay portion of the Hawke’s Bay Land District, for a period of one year from the 1st day of January, 1916.
