Appointment of Member of Revaluation Committee.
Pursuant to the authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Laws Amendment Act, 1915, I, William Ferguson Massey, the Minister of Lands for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint William Wilson, Esquire, of Hokitika, Land and Estate Agent, to be a member of the Revaluation Committee for the Westland Land District, for a period of one year from the 1st day of January, 1916.

Notice fixing the Closing-hours of Tobacconists’ Shops in the City of Dunedin, under the Shops and Offices Act.
Whereas a requisition in writing, signed by a majority of the occupiers of all the tobacconists’ shops in the City of Dunedin, has been forwarded to me, desiring that all such shops in the city shall be closed in the evening of working-days as follows: At 8 p.m. on the evenings of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and 9 p.m. on Friday of each week, with the exceptions (1) of Christmas and New Year weeks, commencing in each case on the Monday immediately prior to Christmas Day and New Year’s Day; (2) of the week of midwinter show; and (3) that any shopkeeper whose shop is closed for the whole of any day which is generally observed as a public holiday in the city may keep open on the preceding working-day evening until 11 p.m. :
And whereas the Dunedin City Council has certified that the signatures to such requisition represent a majority of the occupiers of all the tobacconists’ shops within the City of Dunedin :
Now, therefore, I, William Ferguson Massey, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 25 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1908, do hereby direct that from and after the 17th day of December, 1915, all tobacconists’ shops in the City of Dunedin shall be closed in accordance with such requisition.
The notice gazetted on the 4th day of June, 1915, fixing the closing-hours of tobacconists’ shops in the city is hereby cancelled accordingly.

Prohibition of Money-order and Postal Correspondence for the Actina Appliance Company, Kansas City, Missouri, U.S.A.
The Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the company whose name and address are shown in the Schedule hereunder is engaged in a fraudulent business, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said company shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said company or to the Manager, Secretary, or other officer thereof shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Block I, Kawhia South Survey District, for Road Purposes.
Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Block I, Kawhia South Survey District; and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post-office at Kinohaku, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken: 1 rood 26·8 perches.
Portion of Section 25, Kinohaku Village Settlement (S.O. 18066), Block I, Kawhia South Survey District.
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 39097, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Public Service Stores Tender Board.—Supply and Delivery of Poles.
Wellington, 14th December, 1915.
TENDERS will be received at the office of the Chairman (Government Printing Office) not later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, the 26th January, 1916, for the supply and delivery, C.I.F. and E., main ports, of 2,000 natural round and 3,890 square hewn ironbark poles of various sizes.
Particulars and conditions of tendering may be obtained at the office of the Controller of Stores, Post and Telegraph Department, Wellington; the District Storekeeper, Post and Telegraph Department, Christchurch; or the Telegraph Engineers at Auckland and Dunedin.
