Special Orders made by the Cook County Council altering Boundaries of Ridings.

THE following special orders, made by the Cook County Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1908.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order made on Friday, 20th August, 1915, and confirmed at a Subsequent Meeting held on Friday, 17th September, 1915.

RESOLVED that, consequent upon the alteration of the boundaries of the Pouawa Riding made this day, the boundaries of the Whataupoko Riding be amended; and also that, in consequence of the constitution of the Mangapapa Town District from parts of the Whataupoko Riding, the boundaries of the Whataupoko Riding be further amended.

Resolved that the boundaries of the Whataupoko Riding be as described in the Schedules hereto numbered one and two.

Resolved that this special order come into force upon the gazetting thereof.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed in the presence of—

I, John Warren, of Gisborne, Clerk of the Cook County Council, hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been made in accordance with law, and that all the provisions of the Counties Act have been complied with.

SCHEDULE NO. I.

Amended Boundaries of Whataupoko Riding.

All that area in Cook County, in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay, commencing at a point on the sea-coast, being the mouth of the Haumanatua Stream, and proceeding in a north-westerly direction by the centre of that stream to the eastern boundary of Section No. 2, Block IV, Turanganui Survey District; thence towards the north by the eastern boundary of that section to the Waimata River; thence towards the east and south by the centre of that river to a point being the intersection of a line forming the northern boundary of Whataupoko No. 6 Block; thence towards the north-west by that boundary to a public road; thence by the centre of that road to the northern boundary of Whataupoko No. 4 Block, being the eastern boundary of the Mangapapa Town District; thence towards the south-east by the Mangapapa Town District to the northern boundary of the Borough of Gisborne; thence towards the east and south by the northern and eastern boundaries of the Borough of Gisborne to the sea; thence by the sea-coast to the mouth of the Haumanatua Stream, the point of commencement.

SCHEDULE NO. 2.

Amended Boundaries of Whataupoko Riding.

All that area in Cook County, in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay, commencing at a point being the north-west corner of Section 39, Hapara No. 3, and proceeding generally towards the north-east by the eastern boundary of the Matokitoki Block to its north-east corner; thence by the northern and western boundaries of that block to the north-east corner of Section 51, Hapara No. 3; thence towards the south-west by the northern boundaries of Sections 51, 52, 53, Hapara 3 Block and the Pou-o-Turanga Block to the Taruheru River; thence towards the south and east by the centre of that river to the western boundary of the Mangapapa Town District; thence generally towards the north by the western boundary of the Mangapapa Town District to the north-west corner of Section 39, Hapara 3, the point of commencement.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order made on Friday, 20th August, 1915, and confirmed at a Subsequent Meeting held on the 17th September, 1915.

RESOLVED that, in answer to the prayer of the petitioner, the boundary of the Pouawa Riding be amended by taking therefrom Section No. 2, Block IV, Turanganui Survey District, and adding that section to the Whataupoko Riding.
The amended boundaries of the Pouawa Riding shall be as described in the Schedule hereto.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed in the presence of—

SCHEDULE.

Amended Boundaries of Pouawa Riding.

All that area in Cook County, in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay, bounded towards the north by the Mangaorangi Stream, the southern boundaries of Section No. 31, Block VIIIA, Waimata Survey District, and of Subdivision No. 1, Waimata East Block, to Trig. Station 153; towards the east by the Whangara Block to the Tarewarewa Stream; thence by that stream to its confluence with the Pouawa River, thence by that river to the sea; thence towards the south-east and south generally by the sea-coast to the Hamanatua Stream; thence proceeding in a north-west direction by the centre of that stream to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 2, Block IV, Turanganui Survey District; thence towards the north by the eastern boundaries of the said Section No. 2 to the Waimata River; thence generally towards the south and east by the centre of that river to the eastern corner of Whataupoko No. 6 Block; thence by the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of the said block to the boundary of Section No. 51, Whataupoko No. 4 Block, to the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 46, 45, 40, and 39, Whataupoko No. 3 Block, to the Matokitoki or Whataupoko No. 5 Block; thence by the eastern boundary of that block and the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 11, 9, 8, 4, 10, and 8, Whataupoko No. 9 Block, to the Waimata River, thence northerly by that river to its junction with the Makakaha Stream, and thence by that stream to the south-eastern corner of Subdivision No. 2 of Waimata South Block; thence generally towards the north and again towards the west by the Waimata South Block to the eastern boundary of Section No. 3, Block VII, Waimata Survey District; thence by the eastern boundary of the said section and Sections Nos. 4 and 5 of said Block VII to the Mangaorangi Stream, the point of commencement.

Special Order made by the Omaka Road Board.

THE following special order, made by the Omaka Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

OMAKA ROAD BOARD.

Special Order made by Special Meeting held on 14th October, 1915, and confirmed at the Ordinary Meeting held on 11th November, 1915.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, and by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Omaka Road Board hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:—

“That the payment of interest and sinking fund on a loan of £1,000 (one thousand pounds), raised by the said Board under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, for the purpose of paying the Board’s share towards the erection of a hospital at Blenheim, be paid from time to time out of the general funds of the Board.”

I certify that the above order was duly made and confirmed in accordance with the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and the Road Boards Act, 1908.
