Declaring Portions of Road in Block IV, Piopiotea West Survey District, to be Government Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of September, 1915.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government roads.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the pieces of road declared Government roads: 7 acres 3 roods 32 perches.
Being parts of Wanganui River Road adjoining or passing through Ohura South F 2b No. 1 Block.
Situated in Block IV, Piopiotea West Survey District (Taranaki R.D.).
In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 37795, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

License authorizing the Ross Goldfields (Limited) to erect Electric Lines within the Borough of Ross, and from the Company’s Generating-station on the Kanieri River to the said Borough.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of September, 1915.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, it is provided that no person shall lay, construct, place, put up, or use any electric line except under the authority of a license issued by the Governor in Council under that Act:
And whereas the Ross Goldfields (Limited), (hereinafter referred to as “the licensee”), desires to erect lines within the area of supply as defined in the Schedule hereto, and hereinafter called “the area of supply,” and it is expedient accordingly to issue a license in respect thereof under the said section:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said section, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth, subject to the conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto, and to the regulations made under section two of the aforesaid Act, and published in the New Zealand Gazette dated the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and hereinafter referred to as “the regulations,” hereby authorize the licensee to erect and maintain electric lines from the licensee’s generating-station on the right bank of Kanieri River, in Block VI, Kanieri Survey District, Westland Land District, to the Borough of Ross along the route shown by means of a red line on the plan marked P.W.D. 36626, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and also to erect and maintain electric lines for lighting, power, and heating purposes within the area of supply hereinafter described,
such electric lines at present proposed to be erected being indicated by means of red lines shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 36626, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.
SCHEDULE.
- AREA OF SUPPLY.
THE area of supply comprises the Borough of Ross as at present constituted, as indicated by a distinctive border coloured red on P.W.D. 37980, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
- SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (e) of clause 2 of the regulations.
The generating voltage shall be approximately 2,200 volts between the phases at a frequency of 60 cycles per second, and shall be stepped up for transmission at 24,200 volts to the substation in Ross, where it shall be stepped down for secondary distribution at 440 volts and 110 volts three-phase.
- DATUM TEMPERATURE.
For the purpose of calculating the stresses as provided in clause 12 of the regulations, the datum temperature shall be taken as 12 degrees Fahrenheit.
- NOTICES re EXTENSIONS, ETC.
Records of results of tests (Regulation 37) and notices re commencement of work (Regulation 44) and re extensions and alterations (Regulation 49) should be sent to the Public Works Engineer at present stationed at Greymouth, and to the Telegraph Engineer of the district, or his deputy, at present stationed at Christchurch.
- CHARGES FOR ELECTRIC ENERGY.
The charge for electrical energy shall not exceed 1s. per unit for lighting purposes, and 6d. per unit for motor-power, heating, or cooking purposes; provided that “lighting purposes” shall include the operation of motor generators for lighting purposes.
- DURATION OF LICENSE.
This license shall, unless sooner determined in accordance with the provisions hereinafter expressed, continue in force for a period of forty-two years from the date hereof. Upon the expiry of the said term, or upon the sooner determination of this license by revocation or otherwise, all rights hereby granted to the licensee shall thereupon cease and determine; but such expiration or determination shall not relieve the licensee of any liability theretofore incurred under this license.
