Arrangements for First Election, &c., Lumsden Town District, County of Southland.

Wellington, 20th August, 1915.
HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint
HENRY GIBSON KEY,
of Lumsden, to be Returning Officer for the purpose of conducting the first election of seven members of the Board of Commissioners of the Lumsden Town District as constituted under the Town Boards Act, 1908, also to appoint Wednesday, the 8th day of September, 1915, to be the date, and the Public Hall at Lumsden to be the place, at which the said first election shall be held; also to appoint Thursday, the 9th day of September, 1915, at 8.30 p.m., to be the time, and the said Public Hall at Lumsden to be the place, at which the first meeting of the Board of Commissioners so elected shall be held.

Permanent Staff.
Staff Sergeant-major Lewis Alfred Clements (W.O.) to be Quartermaster at Tauherenikau Camp, and to hold the rank of Honorary Lieutenant while so employed. Dated 4th August, 1915.
1st Mounted Rifles (Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry).
Major John Deans to be Lieutenant-Colonel and to command a regiment. Dated 7th May, 1915.
5th Mounted Rifles (Otago Hussars).
Captain John Swindley to be Major. Dated 31st July, 1915.
6th (Manawatu) Mounted Rifles.
2nd Lieutenant (on probation) Henry Lynne resigns his appointment. Dated 23rd March, 1915.
New Zealand Garrison Artillery.
2nd Lieutenant (on probation) Henry Francis Cotter is transferred to the 5th (Wellington) Regiment. Dated 5th July, 1915.
