| Prohibitions.—Arms and ammunition; liquids, greasy or easily liquefiable substances, fruit or vegetables which readily decompose, dead animals and insects (unless stuffed), bullion exceeding £5 in value, oilskins and similar goods. Observations.—Parcels are liable to a charge on delivery of one centavo for each 4 oz., with a minimum of five centavos. No compensation is paid in respect of loss or damage of parcels or their contents. | Honduras, Republic of. |

| Prohibitions.—India generally: Arms of all kinds, parts of arms and accessories and ammunition (except for the Government); cotton, silk, and other woven goods impressed with designs in imitation of currency notes, promissory notes, or stock notes of the Government of India; opium and all alkaloids of opium, and all intoxicating drugs made from the poppy; ganja, bhang and charas, and every intoxicating drink or substance prepared from any part of the hemp plant (cannabis sativa); coca-leaves, alkaloids of coca, every other intoxicating drink or substance prepared from the coca plant (erythroxylum coca), and all drugs, synthetic or other, having a like physiological effect to that of cocaine; all preparations and admixtures of any of the above. In addition to the foregoing.—Baghdad or Busrah: Poisons and caricatures of Royal or other notable persons. The Native States of Cochin and Travancore: Tobacco or any preparation thereof. Burma: Hypodermic syringes or needles for hypodermic injections. Observations.—India includes Andaman Islands, Burma, French India, Agencies in Tibet (Gyangtse, Pharijong, and Yatung (Chumbi) only), and the following places on the Persian Gulf and in Turkish Arabia: Bahrain, Chahbar, Henjam, and Muscat, and the Indian Postal Agencies at Bushire, Bunder Abbas, Jask, Linga, and Mohammerah. Parcels addressed to the Indian Post-offices on the Persian Gulf and in Turkish Arabia and the Indian Postal Agencies in Tibet can be accepted for insurance only as far as Bombay (see clause 20, p. 2981). No compensation is given for the damage of soapstone and alabaster models, collections of butterflies and moths, and other exceptionally fragile articles. If books and photographs are enclosed in a parcel with other articles their value should be shown separately in the Customs declaration. The net weight of the contents of parcels of tobacco, cigars, and cigarettes, and, in the case of cigars and cigarettes, particulars of the brands and the number and net weight of each brand should be clearly indicated on the Customs declaration. | India. |
| Prohibitions. — Bullion exceeding £5 in value, oilskins and similar goods, salt, unmanufactured tobacco unless specially authorized, vines and all parts of the vine, plants and parts of plants, seeds, bulbs, &c. (unless accompanied by phylloxera certificate and sender’s undertaking to pay the cost of examination, and his authority to addressee or other resident in Italy to pay the fee on his behalf); pharmaceutical products of which the components are not stated, and which are not included in the official pharmacopoeia (except remedies and medicines admitted by the Council of Health); saccharine and its products (unless certified to be addressed to authorized chemists); arms or parts thereof (except by special permission); playing-cards addressed to the Republic of San Marino; etables addressed to pupils in military schools, parcels addressed to prisoners, weights and measures not conforming to the Italian system, cinematograph-films unless enclosed in soldered zinc boxes. Observations. — No compensation is given for the damage in Italy of fragile or perishable parcels or parcels containing liquids. Parcels which do not measure more than 8 in. in depth or breadth may be as much as 3 ft. 3 in. in length. | Ireland. Italy. |
