MOUNT WELLINGTON ROAD BOARD.

Meeting held 15th December, 1914.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Mount Wellington Road Board hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of eight hundred and fifty pounds (£850), authorized to be raised by the Mount Wellington Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, to pay the proportion of the cost of rebuilding the Panmure Bridge, which the Mount Wellington Road Board was ordered to pay by Warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, bearing date the 28th day of April, 1914, the Mount Wellington Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-second of a penny in the pound upon the capital rateable property within the whole of the Mount Wellington Road Board District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 31st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making a Special Rate at an Ordinary Meeting held on the Seventeenth Day of August, 1914.

IN pursuance of and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and its amendments, and all other Acts in that behalf enabling it, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and sinking fund and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the following purpose—re-forming, culverting, and metalling the Mairoa Road and portions of the Kihikihi Road within the Mairoa South Special-rating Area—the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the Mairoa South Special-rating Area; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Description of Boundaries.

Commencing at the extreme east of Section Kinohaku East 3D No. 5, and running in a straight line to the south-east corner of Section Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 4B No. 1, thus cutting the Native Block Kinohaku East 3D 3 in half; thence along the southern boundary of the said Section Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 4B No. 1 and Kinohaku East No. 2 No. 4B, Sections 1, 5, 6, 14A, 14, 15, and 15A, Block VIII, Maungamangero; thence by the western boundary of Section 17, Block XII, Maungamangero, to the Kihikihi Road; thence along the Kihikihi Road in an easterly direction to the north-west corner of Kinohaku East 4F No. 3; thence by the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of the said section to the north-west corner of Section Kinohaku East 4F No. 2; thence along the northern boundary of the said section and Section Kinohaku East No. 4E to the north-west corner of Section 13, Block XII, Maungamangero; thence along the western boundary of said section and Section 14 to the south-west corner of Kinohaku East Pt. E; thence along the southern boundary of the said section and the northern boundary of Kinohaku East No. 4B Section 3 to the Te Kuiti-Awakino Road; thence along the Te Kuiti-Awakino Road to the south-east corner of Section Kaingapipi No. 11; thence along the eastern boundary of the said section and Sections 12, 11, 10, 9, and Kinohaku East 3D Section 2, and Kinohaku East No. 3B, all of Block IX, Otanake, to the starting-point.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waitomo was hereunto affixed in the presence of—

BOROUGH OF BLENHEIM.

Special Order.

IN THAT, for the purpose of providing the sum of three thousand pounds for the purpose of purchasing part of the property known as Waterlea (comprising forty acres, more or less) in the said borough as and for a pleasure-ground for the Burgesses of the Borough of Blenheim, the Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the said sum of three thousand pounds, the said Council hereby authorizes the raising of a special loan of three thousand pounds for the term of thirty-six and a half years.

That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on such loan, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan, and be payable half-yearly on the tenth days of July and January in each and every year during the currency of the loan.

Preliminary expenses (not exceeding one hundred pounds) in connection with the said purchase, together with the cost of raising such loan, and interest and sinking fund for the first year, shall be paid out of the loan.

Passed at a special meeting of the said Blenheim Borough Council on the fourth day of November, 1914, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the seventh day of December, 1914.

We hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made. In witness whereof the seal of the said Council has been hereunto affixed this seventh day of December, 1914.
