of Blenheim ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be pay-
able half-yearly on the tenth days of July and January in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a
special meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the
seventh day of December, 1914.

NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the
Borough of New Plymouth, New Zealand, hereby resolves
as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £20,000, authorized to be raised by the
Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the
Borough of New Plymouth, New Zealand, under the above-
mentioned Act, for the following purposes :—

(a.) To provide additions and extensions to the electric
lighting, either within or without the borough, and
to supply electricity ; to acquire (in connection with
such additions and extensions) lands, easements,
and appurtenances and buildings, engines, machinery,
and other things ; to pay compensation to any per-
son injuriously affected, and any other purpose in-
cidental to or in relation to any of the above pur-
poses.

(b.) The sum to be borrowed for all such purposes is
£20,000, at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 per
centum per annum, with a sinking fund of ½ per
centum additional.

(c.) The proposed security for the said loan is £20,000, and
the interest and sinking fund thereon is an annually
recurring special rate of 3¼d. in the pound on the
annual value of all rateable property in the said
borough, and it is proposed to repay the money on
the 1st day of April, 1933.

(d.) It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising
the loan and the interest and sinking fund thereon
for the first year,—

the said Corporation of the Mayor, Councillors, and Bur-
gesses of the Borough of New Plymouth, New Zealand,
hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3¼d. in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough
of New Plymouth ; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable half-yearly on the first day of January and the
first day of July in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of nineteen years, or until the
loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was duly passed on the 14th day of
December, 1914.

PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

OMATA LOAN, £200.—RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Patea County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other
charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the
Patea County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for
the purpose of continuation of the formation of Omata Valley
Road, the said Patea County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Omata
Special-rating District, comprising Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 11,
12, Block II, Omahine Survey District ; 2, 3, 4, Block X,
Kapara Survey District : and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

I certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a
duly convened and constituted special meeting of the Patea
County Council held on Tuesday, the 8th day of December,
1914.

MANUNUI TOWN BOARD.

COPY OF RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE OF ONE-THIRD
OF A PENNY IN THE POUND AS SECURITY FOR THE UNDER-
MENTIONED FURTHER LOAN.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Manunui Town Board hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £50 (being ten per
centum on the original loan of £500), authorized to be raised
by the Manunui Town Board, under the above-mentioned
Act, for the completion of forming and metalling roads
within the Manunui Town District, the said Manunui Town
Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-third of
a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property of the special-rating area comprising the whole of
the Manunui Town District ; and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed on
the fourteenth day of December, 1914, at a properly con-
stituted meeting of the Board.
