And whereas such tramway is to be used by the said company in connection with and for the purposes of the business of such company, and such business is not the carriage of passengers or goods for hire:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred on him as aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the aforesaid term.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-first day of December, 1914.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to approve the Permanent Investment and Loan Association of Canterbury as an institution for the purposes of section three of the Trustee Amendment Act, 1914:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve the said Permanent Investment and Loan Association of Canterbury as an institution with which, subject to the provisions of the said Act, it shall be lawful for a trustee, unless expressly forbidden by the instrument (if any) creating the trust, to invest any trust funds in his hands on deposit at interest.

WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to approve the Mutual Benefit Building and Investment Society of Canterbury (Permanent) as an institution for the purposes of section three of the Trustee Amendment Act, 1914:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve the said Mutual Benefit Building and Investment Society of Canterbury (Permanent) as an institution with which, subject to the provisions of the said Act, it shall be lawful for a trustee, unless expressly forbidden by the instrument (if any) creating the trust, to invest any trust funds in his hands on deposit at interest.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section eleven of the Surveyors’ Institute and Board of Examiners Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby appoint, as from the first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, the undermentioned persons to be members of the Surveyors’ Board constituted by the said Act, namely:—
THOMAS HUMPHRIES,
THOMAS NOEL BRODRICK,
HUBERT SLADDEN, and
HUGH MUNRO WILSON,
the two first-named persons having been nominated by the Minister of Lands, and the two last-named persons having been nominated by the Council of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors, as required by the said Act.

Amending Regulations for Trout-fishing, Rotorua Acclimatization District.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Fisheries Act, 1908, and its amendments, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend Regulation six—reserving certain areas in the Rotorua Acclimatization District for fly fishing, made on the twenty-seventh day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and published in the Gazette of the twenty-ninth October, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen—by deleting therefrom the words “and Taupo.”

Arrangements for taking Poll respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries of City of Auckland.

At the Government House at Wellington, this seventh day of January, 1915.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, in pursuance of section fourteen of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, a petition was presented to the Governor praying that the area comprising the Remuera Road District should be excluded from the County of Eden and included in the City of Auckland:
And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section made inquiry, and reported that the area described in the Schedule hereto (hereafter referred to as “the said area”) was suitable for municipal control, and recommended that the said area be included in the City of Auckland:
And whereas it is desirable that a poll be taken within the said area upon the proposal that the said area shall be included in the City of Auckland:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1913, as amended by the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1914, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that a poll shall be taken on the proposal that the said area shall be included in the City of Auckland; and further doth hereby make the following appointments and arrangements for the purpose of taking the said poll:—

Percival Stanley Ussher, of Auckland, to be the Returning Officer for the purpose of taking the said poll, and also to be the person authorized to prepare a voters roll of the persons entitled to vote at the said poll.

The voters roll prepared and signed by the said Percival Stanley Ussher shall be the voters roll to be used at the said poll.

Each person on such roll shall have and may exercise one vote, and no more.
