The said poll shall be taken on Wednesday, the seventeenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and shall close at seven o’clock in the afternoon of that day.

Except as herein provided, the said poll shall be taken as nearly as may be in the manner provided by the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1908, and the Returning Officer hereby appointed shall be deemed to be a Returning Officer appointed for the purposes of that Act.

SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED IN THE CITY OF AUCKLAND.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District bounded towards the north generally by the City of Auckland from the northern boundary of the Borough of Newmarket to Hobson Bay; thence by Hobson Bay and the Orakei and Purewa Creeks to the western boundary of Section No. 38A, Parish of Waitemata; thence towards the east by that section and the production of its western boundary to the southern side of the St. John’s College and Tamaki Road; thence by the southern side of that road to the north-eastern corner of Allotment No. 34 of Section No. 12, Suburbs of Auckland; thence by the eastern boundary of that allotment to the northern boundary of Ellerslie Town District; thence towards the south-east by the said Ellerslie Town District to the Great South Road; thence towards the south-west by the Great South Road to its junction with Epsom Road, across Epsom Road, and towards the west generally by the western side of that road to the Borough of Newmarket, and by that borough to the boundary of the City of Auckland, the place of commencement.

Consenting to Land being taken for Trinity Street Extension in the City of Auckland.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of December, 1914.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by the Public Works Act, 1908, it is in section fifteen thereof, inter alia, enacted that, except for the purpose of a railway or defence purposes, or for the purposes of any other work to be made under the authority of a special Act, nothing in this Act contained shall authorize the taking of any land occupied by any building, yard, garden, ornamental park, or pleasure-ground without the previous consent of the Governor in Council:
And whereas part of the land described in the Schedule hereto is occupied by a garden and yard, and the Auckland City Council has applied for the consent of the Governor in Council to the taking of the said land for the purposes of extending Trinity Street in the City of Auckland, and it is expedient that such consent should be given:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto being taken for the purposes above named.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land permitted to be taken:—
6·12 perches, portion of Lot 41 of Allotment 23 of Section 8. Coloured blue on plan.
0·2 perches, portion of Lot 39 of Allotment 23 of Section 8. Coloured yellow on plan.
Situated in Block XVI, Waitemata Survey District, Suburbs of Auckland (16543, blue).
All in the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36673, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-first day of December, 1914.

The Right Honourable W. F. Massey, P.C., presiding in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Animals Protection Act, 1908, as amended by the Animals Protection Amendment Act, 1910, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby suspend the operation of section ten of the said Animals Protection Amendment Act, 1910, for the period ending on the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, with respect to the species of birds indigenous to New Zealand mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Hyde Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this twenty-first day of December, 1914.
Present:
The Right Honourable W. F. Massey, P.C., presiding in Council.
WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the fifth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and four, certain powers were delegated to the Hyde Domain Board for a period of ten years:
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
PATRICK KINNEY,
ALEXANDER TROTTER,
WILLIAM CURRIE,
MICHAEL PRENDERGAST,
JOHN McLEAN,
OWEN JOHN LAVERY, and
HUGH McAULEY
to be the Hyde Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-third day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Railway Hotel at Hyde as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
