A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and eighty-eight of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and take as a road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

All in the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36616, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this thirty-first day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and eighty-eight of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and take as a road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road laid out and taken: 11 acres 1 rood 28·7 perches.

Portion of Tapatu Block (Poverty Bay R.D.).

Situated in Blocks IX and XIII, Matakaoa Survey District.

In the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36615, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Stopping Government Roads in Block XX, Invercargill Hundred.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:

And whereas the Government roads described in the Schedule hereto are no longer required for the purpose of roads:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the roads described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of road hereby stopped:—

10 0 10, adjoining Sections 5 to 17.
0 1 25 " 6 and 7.
2 0 28 " 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17.

Situated in Block XX, Invercargill Hundred.

All in the Southland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 36805, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Approving the Term of the License to be granted to the Homebush Brick and Coal Company (Limited), by the Malvern County Council, for the Tramway along and across a Road in the Malvern County.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this seventeenth day of December, 1914.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it is provided by section sixteen of the Tramways Act, 1908, as amended by section six of the Tramways Amendment Act, 1911, that any local authority may from time to time, on the application of any person in that behalf, grant a license to such person to lay down, construct, and maintain a private tramway on, along, or across any street or road under its control, subject to such terms and conditions as such local authority approves, provided that such tramway shall be used only in connection with and for the purpose of the business of such person, and that such business shall not be the carriage of passengers or goods for hire:

And whereas it is provided by section ten of the Tramways Amendment Act, 1910, that the license may be for such term not exceeding twenty-one years as the Governor in Council approves:

And whereas the Homebush Brick and Coal Company (Limited), (hereinafter called “the company”), has made application to the Malvern County Council for a license to lay down, construct, and maintain as a private tramway along and across the road in the Malvern County passing through or adjoining Sections 11333, 19042, 19043, 16927, and 14669, Block IV, Hororata Survey District, Canterbury Land District, as shown by a broken black line on the plan marked P.W.D. 35919, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works:
