OTANOMOMO RIVER DISTRICT.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the left bank of the Puerua River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 5, Block VII, Clutha Survey District; thence across a road and along the south-eastern boundary of that section and its production, 10450 links; thence bearing 337° 52', distance 4300 links, bearing 296° 35', distance 1840·2 links, bearing 311° 31', distance 1506·7 links, bearing 340° 34', distance 4476 links, bearing 348° 32', distance 3633 links, bearing 325° 11', distance 2162·4 links, bearing 308° 29', distance 2990·5 links, bearing 321° 37', distance 3900 links, bearing 22° 36', distance 3200 links, and bearing 92° 13', distance 1100 links, to the eastern side of the Balclutha-Catlin Railway Reserve; thence along the eastern side of that reserve to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section No. 11, Block XXII, Clutha Survey District; thence along the southern side of that road to the right bank of the Koau branch of the Clutha River; thence along the right bank of the said Koau branch to the Puerua River; and thence along the left bank of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 5, Block VII, Clutha Survey District, the place of commencement.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty's Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of January, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Land set apart in the Town of Reefton for the Purposes of a Drill-shed.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is Crown land, and is required to be set apart for the purposes of a drill-shed in the Town of Reefton:
And whereas by section twenty-one of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that whenever any Crown land is required to be set apart for any public work, the Governor may at any time, by Proclamation, set the same apart for such public work without complying with any of the provisions of that Act in respect of the taking or setting-apart of other lands for such purpose:
And whereas by section eighty-eight of the Defence Act, 1909, it is also enacted that the Governor may, inter alia, from time to time, set apart any Crown land for the erection of drill-sheds:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities in me vested by the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Defence Act, 1909, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for the purposes of the said drill-shed, and I also hereby declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fourteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Allocating Cost of taking Poll under Section 19 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, City of Christchurch.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twentieth day of January, 1914.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY, PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section nineteen of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the Christchurch City Council shall defray all the costs incurred in connection with the taking of a poll under the said Act on the fifteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, on the proposal to include in the City of Christchurch the North Richmond area of the County of Waimairi.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twentieth day of January, 1914.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and nine, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 86, of the fourteenth day of the same month, the management of the wharf at Aratapu, in Kaipara Harbour, was vested in Messrs. Samuel George Ball Barker, William Fincher Coutts, Anthony Keane, William Newman, and Thomas Nield (hereinafter called “the licensees”), as trustees for the inhabitants of Aratapu, on the terms and conditions set forth in the First Schedule to the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council:
And whereas it is desirable to amend the said Order in Council in the manner hereinafter described:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the Harbours Act, 1908, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke clause three of the First Schedule of the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council, and doth hereby substitute the following clause in lieu thereof:—
“3. In consideration of the concessions and privileges conferred by this Order in Council, the licensees shall, on being supplied with a copy thereof, pay to the Minister an annual rental of one pound, payable on the fifth of October, dating from the fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.”
