And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

DONALD GILLANDERS,
DANIEL MULHOLLAND, and
HUBERT HENRY HORRELL REED

to be the Darfield Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act ; and doth hereby appoint Thursday, the twenty-seventh day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the School, Darfield, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.

DARFIELD DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres, more or less, being reserve numbered 2635 (in red), situated in Block VI, Hawkins Survey District. Bounded towards the south-east by Maxwell Street, 1050 links ; towards the south-west by Railway Terrace (North) by lines aggregating 1212·8 links ; towards the north-west by Section 11 of Reserve 1751, 1050 links ; and towards the north-east by the continuation of Creyke Street (Horndon Township) by lines aggregating 692 links, to the point of commencement : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. I/76A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Clifden Domain.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this third day of August, 1914.

Present :

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain :

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the fifteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and seven, certain powers were delegated to the Clifden Domain Board for a period of seven years :

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the fourteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen :

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

SAMUEL SANDFORD, and
SAMUEL FOWLE

to be the Clifden Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act ; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the fifteenth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Clifden Hall, Clifden, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

CLIFDEN DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 73 acres 3 roods 3 perches, more or less, being Section No. 5, Block I, Lillburn Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a road, 1609·6 links ; towards the east by a road, 3870·9 links and 29 links ; towards the south-west by Section No. 2 and a road, 3948·1 links ; and towards the north-west by a road, 2180·2 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/451A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

APITI DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 4 acres, more or less, being part of Section No. 51, Block XI, Apiti Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 20, 500 links ; towards the north-east generally by Sections Nos. 20 and 51A, 600 links, 250 links, and 400 links ; towards the south-east by Oruau Valley Road, 250 links ; and towards the south-west by Section No. 19, 1000 links.

Also all that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 36 acres, more or less, being part of Section No. 41A, Block XI, Apiti Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Subdivision 1 of Section No. 41A, 1526·6 links ; towards the north-east by public road, 1303·2
