List of Sharebrokers under the Sharebrokers Act, 1908.

WHEREAS by the List of Sharebrokers licensed under section 4 of the above-mentioned Act to carry on business in the Dominion of New Zealand for the current year, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 25th June, it is made to appear that E. Trythall, of Dunedin, and J. Sheridan, of Gisborne, have failed to renew their licenses for the current year: It is now published in correction of such error, and for general information, that E. Trythall and J. Sheridan are licensed to carry on business under the provisions of the said Act.

AFRICA.
CYCLONES.—STORM-SIGS. EST.—A system of storm-sigs., to indic. the localities threatened by a cyclone, is est. at the following ports: Tamatave, Andovoranto, Vatomandri, Mahanoro, Mananzari, Farafangana, Fort Dauphin, Tulléar, Ambohibé, Morondava, Maintirano, Namela, Mojanga, Analalava, Nosi Bé, Diego Suarez, Vohemar, Maroantsetra, and St. Mary. The sigs., which are made from a flagstaff by means of a black cyl. and black cones, are as follows :—

Wireless Tel.—The French Government give notice of the approach of cyclones to all navigators and wireless tel. stations in the Mozambique Chan., as far as the range of the radio-tel. stations in Madagascar will allow, during the period Dec. to April, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8.30 p.m. April.
Wireless Storm Sigs.—A system of wireless sigs. to indic. the regions threatened by cyclones is exper. est. on the E., N.W., and W. coasts of Madagascar, as follows: 1. A cyclone affecting the region N.W. of Madagascar or the Mozambique Chan.—the sig., coming from the Tananarive Obser., will be made at every even hour, between 6 hours and 24 hours (inclusive), by the stations at Dzaoudzi (Mayotta) and Mojanga alt. 2. A cyclone affecting the region N.E. and E. of Madagascar—the sig. will be made at every even hour, between 6 hours and 24 hours (inclusive), by the stations at Dzaoudzi (Mayotta) and Diego Suarez alt. In both cases the sig. will be preceded and followed by a warning sig. — — — . . — — — — repeated at short intervals. This sig., which is exclusively reserved for this purpose, will be sufficient, in the event of no further details being given, to indic. that there is reason to fear the passage of a cyclone. Ships provided with wireless apparatus are invited to sig. immediately any information concerning cyclonic disturbances to the wireless tel. stations of the colony, in order to extend the range of these sigs. as far as possible. Note.—It is assumed that the above-mentioned time is standard M.T. of the 45th meridian. April.
ARABIAN SEA.
BOMBAY HARB.—Dredging, blasting, and sounding are in operation over the Flagstaff Shoal. Mariners are cautioned whilst passing up or down the harb. or in or out of Ballard Pier, &c., to keep to the erd. of the black buoy marking the shoal. Note.—No vessels are to pass between this buoy and the new dock dam. May.
CHINA SEA, ETC.
YANG-TSE-KIANG.—SRN. APPROACH.—STEEP ISL. PASS.—A red submarine-bell buoy, bell rung by motion of buoy on the waves, is exper. est. on the ern. side of Steep Isl. Pass, 2 cables 145° (S. 32° E. mag.) from the summit of the 98 ft. isl., Palmer Isls. Position: Steep Isl. Lt.-h., 30° 13′ N., 122° 35′ E. May.
CHILE.—MAGELLAN STRAIT.
CAPE POSSESSION LIGHT.—CORRECTION TO ADMIRALTY PUBLICATIONS.—Position: Lat. 52° 18′ S., long. 68° 57′ W. Details: The character of this light is incorrectly described in Admiralty publications as fixed and flashing; the correct character is as follows: A flashing white light every thirty seconds, showing—thus, flash 6 secs., eclipse 24 secs. The publications should be corrected accordingly.
ENGLAND, SOUTH COAST.—ISLE OF WIGHT.
THE NEEDLES.—ALTERATION IN CHARACTER OF LIGHT.—Position: On outer Needles Rock. Lat. 50° 39⅜′ N., long. 1° 35½′ W. Abridged description of new light: Lt. gp. occ. (2) W.R.C. ev. 20 secs., 80 ft., vis. 14 m. Details: The occulting light with white, red, and green sectors has been replaced by a group occulting light with white, red, and green sectors, showing a group of two eclipses every twenty seconds—thus, eclipse 2 secs., light 2 secs.; eclipse 2 secs., light 14 secs. Remarks: The other details of this light remain unchanged.
