(formerly called Waihi Road); thence by a right line to and by the southern side of Howard Street to the westernmost corner of Section No. 1, Waitara East District, Block I, Waitara Survey District; thence by Sections Nos. 1, 2, 5, and 7, said Waitara East District, to Elliot Street; thence towards the east generally by the western side of Elliot Street to Section No. 23, Waitara East District; thence by that section and Section No. 28 to the northernmost corner of Section No. 32; thence towards the south generally by the last-mentioned section to and across Princess Street to the northernmost corner of Section No. 25 to Joll Street; thence to and along the middle of Joll Street to Section No. 24, Waitara East District, and by that section to the angle in Manukorihi Road on the western side of the Waitara River, and by the right bank of that river to a point due east of the confluence of the Mangahinau Stream with the Waitara River; thence by a right line across the Waitara River to and by the said Mangahinau Stream to the western side of Nelson Street, by that section, across the railway reserve, and again by the said Section No. 29 to the easternmost corner of Section No. 21, Waitara West District; thence towards the west by that section to and across Raleigh Street; thence by the western side of Johnston Street to the northernmost corner of Section No. 11, Waitara West District; thence across Johnston Street and by Sections Nos. 8, 7, and 4, Waitara West District, to Ranfurly Street; and thence by the western side of Ranfurly Street to Battiscombe Terrace, the place of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF CLIFTON.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards the north by a line along the middle of the Mokau River from the sea to a point in line with the western boundary of Mokau-Mohakatino No. 14 Block; thence towards the east generally by a right line to and by the said western boundary of Mokau-Mohakatino No. 14 Block to Trig. Station, Tawhitiraupeka; thence by Section No. 3, Block III, Waro Survey District, to the Mohakatino Stream; thence by that stream to its confluence with a stream which intersects the Mohakatino-Parininihi No. 1b East Block, the said confluence being near the westernmost corner of Section No. 1, Block III, Waro Survey District; thence by the said stream intersecting the Mohakatino-Parininihi No. 1b East Block to the Mohakatino Road; thence by that road to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 6, Block VI, Waro Survey District; thence by Sections Nos. 6, 5, 4, and 3, Block VI, Waro Survey District, to the road forming the northern and western boundaries of the last-mentioned section; thence by that road to where it intersects Section No. 3 aforesaid; thence by that section to the Mangatawa Stream, and by that stream to its confluence with the Kotare Stream; thence by the said Kotare Stream to the Tongaporutu-Mangaroa Road, and by that road to the Tangarakau Stream, and by the latter stream to the confiscation boundary-line; thence by that boundary-line to the western boundary of Block XVI, Waro Survey District; thence by Block XVI aforesaid and Block IV, Pouatu Survey District, to the 39th parallel of south latitude, and by that parallel to the Tangarakau Stream; thence by that stream to its confluence with the Mangapapa Stream; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of Section No. 1, Block III, Pouatu Survey District, and the eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 7 and 9, Block XIV, Waro Survey District, to Mount Dampier Road; thence across and by that road to the easternmost corner of Section No. 8, Block XIV aforesaid, and by that section to and across the Okau Road; thence by Section No. 5, Block XIV aforesaid, and Section No. 10, Block XIII, Waro Survey District, to the Waitara River; thence by a right line to the northernmost corner of Section No. 4, Block I, Pouatu Survey District, and by that section and across a road reserve to the Waitara River; thence by that river to a point opposite the westernmost corner of Section No. 7A, and the eastern boundary of Section No. 8, Block I aforesaid, to the southernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by a right line to the boundary between Sections Nos. 4 and 7, Block V, Pouatu Survey District; thence by Sections Nos. 4, 3, and 2, Block V aforesaid, Section No. 8, Block IX, Pouatu Survey

District, and Section No. 2, Block XII, Upper Waitara Survey District, to the Mangaowata Stream; thence by a right line to the northernmost corner of Section No. 6, Block XII aforesaid; thence by the north-eastern boundary of that section to the confiscation boundary-line; thence by the confiscation boundary-line to Te Wera Road; thence towards the south generally by that road to the north-eastern corner of Section No. 43, Block VI, Ngatimaru Survey District; thence by that section to Mohakau Road; thence by that road to Section No. 17, Block X, Ngatimaru Survey District; thence by the last-mentioned section and Sections Nos. 15, 14, and 10, Block V, to the Waitara River; thence to and by a line along the middle of that river to a point opposite the easternmost corner of Section No. 18, Block V, Ngatimaru Survey District; thence by a right line to the easternmost corner of that section; thence by the said Section No. 18 and Sections Nos. 13 and 9, Block VIII, Huiroa Survey District, and the western boundary of the last-mentioned section produced to the middle of the Waitara River; thence towards the south-west by a line along the middle of that river to the Borough of Waitara hereinbefore described; thence by that borough and the Waitara River to the sea; and thence towards the north and north-west generally by the sea to the mouth of the Mokau River, the place of commencement.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE COUNTY OF TARANAKI.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded towards the north-west by the sea from the northernmost corner of Section No. 26, Block IV, Cape Survey District, to the mouth of the Waitara River; thence towards the north-east generally by Clifton County hereinbefore described to the Borough of Waitara; thence by that borough and again by Clifton County to the confluence of the Makino Stream and the Waitara River; thence towards the south-east by Stratford County, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 65, of the 1st August, 1912, to the summit of Mount Egmont; and thence towards the south-west by Egmont County, as described in the Schedule to the Egmont County Act, 1901, to the place of commencement: excepting the Boroughs of New Plymouth and Inglewood.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 31 of the Counties Act, 1908, the Franklin County Council resolve by special order that the Mercer Road District be abolished, and merged in the Franklin County.
