CHANGE OF NAME.
KNOW all men by these presents (which are intended to be enrolled in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Wellington) that I, the undersigned ALBERT JOSEPH HUMPHREYS, of the City of Wellington, Draper’s Assistant, and sometimes called ALBERT JOSEPH CATTERALL, do hereby on behalf of myself and my heirs and issue lawfully begotten absolutely renounce and abandon the use of my said surname of Catterall, and in lieu thereof assume and adopt the surname of HUMPHREYS; and for the purpose of evidencing such change of name I hereby declare that I shall at all times hereafter in all records, deeds, and documents and other writings, and in all actions, suits, and proceedings, as well as in all dealings and transactions, matters, and things whatsoever, and upon all occasions use and subscribe the said surname of HUMPHREYS as my surname in lieu of the surname of Catterall so abandoned as aforesaid; and I therefore hereby expressly authorize and require all persons whomsoever at all times to designate, describe, and address me and my heirs and issue by such adopted surname of HUMPHREYS only.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my Christian name of ALBERT JOSEPH and my adopted and substituted surname of HUMPHREYS this first day of April, 1914.

CLARIDGE’S (LIMITED).
SPECIAL RESOLUTION PASSED AT GENERAL MEETING HELD AT THE REGISTERED OFFICE OF THE COMPANY ON THE 22ND OCTOBER, 1913.
RESOLVED, That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Act, 1908.
That Mr. J. Bosomworth be hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the company, and that the remuneration for his services in the winding-up be fixed at the sum of £2 per week, in addition to his out-of-pocket expenses.

OROUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL ORDER RAISING SPECIAL LOAN.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of every other power in that behalf it enabling, the Council of the County of Oroua hereby resolves as follows:—
(1.) That the Council do raise a special loan of £1,294 18s. 5d. for the purpose of providing the Council’s contributions towards the expenditure of the Palmerston North Hospital and Charitable Aid Board during the financial year 1913–1914 in respect of the following works, and in accordance with the certificates of the said Board that the said contributions are required for the purposes mentioned, namely,—
Hospital buildings and extensions .. £ 594 3 10
Old Peoples’ Home .. .. 374 13 11
Supplementary estimate .. .. 326 0 8
£1,294 18 5
(2.) That such loan be for a period or term of thirteen years, and be repayable on the 1st day of April, 1927.
(3.) That the rate of interest on such loan be a rate not exceeding £5 per centum per annum, and that such interest be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each year.
(4.) That the security for such special loan be a special annual-recurring rate of 1/115th of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the County of Oroua, comprising the whole of the said county, and that such rate be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan.
