NOTICE OF DISSOLUTION.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore existing between HUGH STEWART and JAMES RUSSELL BRUCE, under the style or firm of “J. R. Bruce and Co.,” has been dissolved by effluxion of time as from the 1st March, 1914. All moneys owing to the late Partnership must be paid forthwith to Mr. J. R. BRUCE, whose receipt will be a sufficient discharge. All accounts owing by the late firm will be paid by Mr. BRUCE.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of the above company held at the registered office of the company, Stock Exchange Buildings, Dunedin, on Tuesday, 31st day of March, 1914, the following extraordinary resolution, of which due notice had been given, was submitted to the meeting and carried unanimously, viz.:—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, carry on its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that the same be wound up accordingly.”

WAIPUKURAU BOROUGH COUNCIL.
SPECIAL ORDER.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and by virtue of a Warrant dated the 16th December, 1913, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, in the terms of section 119 of the Public Works Act, 1908, and section 9 of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1913, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of providing the Waipukurau Borough Council’s share of the cost of constructing two bridges and approaches thereto over the Makaretu and Tuki-tuki Rivers on the Waipukurau-Ongaonga Road, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby authorizes the raising of a loan of £1,350 at a rate not exceeding 6 per cent. for a period of fourteen years.
And, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan of £1,350, the Waipukurau Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 19/12d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Waipukurau, comprising all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District in Blocks XIV and XV, Waipukurau Survey District, as shown upon the plan deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, under the number S.G. 54516, thereon bordered red; and such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of May and 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fourteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off. And it is resolved to pay the cost of the loan and the first year’s interest and sinking fund out of the principal of the loan.
The above special order was made at a special meeting of the Waipukurau Borough Council held on Monday, the 2nd day of March, 1914, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council held on Monday, the 6th day of April, 1914.

LEVELS COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Levels County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,400, authorized to be raised by the Levels County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting a bridge at Cleland’s Crossing over the Tengawai River, the said Levels County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ·0004d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Levels County, comprising the whole of the County of Levels; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the first day of February and the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half-year (36½ years), or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Levels County was hereunto affixed this first day of April, 1914, by Chas. N. Orbell, Chairman of the said Council, in the presence of—

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—LOAN OF £550 (TEN PER CENT.), MATAROA-KOEKE ROAD.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a further loan of £550, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, and being 10 per centum additional of the original loan of £5,500 raised by the said Council for the purpose of graveling the Mataroa-Koeke Road from Murray’s Track to Koeke, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mataroa-Koeke Road Special rating District, as described on page 4121 of the New Zealand Gazette of the 1st December, 1910, and comprising all that area situate within the County of Rangitikei, and bounded as follows: Commencing at trigonometrical station on Maungakaretu on the Rangitikei County boundary; thence in a southerly direction by said boundary to its intersection with the south boundary of Section 63, Block XIII, Maungakaretu Survey District; thence generally in a south-easterly direction by the said boundary to the Turakina River, and by the said river and the south-west boundaries of Sections 5A and 5, Block XIII, and Sections 8, 9, and 10, Block XIV, Maungakaretu Survey District, and Section 25, Block II, Tiri-aukawa Survey District, to the Karetu North Road; thence by the said road to the north boundary of Section 6, Block II, Tiri-aukawa Survey District; thence by the north boundary of said section, and again in a southerly direction by its east boundary and the east boundary of Section 5 to the south-west corner of Section 10, Block II, Tiri-aukawa Survey District; thence in a south-easterly direction by the south-west boundary of said Section 10 to the Mangamahoe Road, and by said road and the south-west boundaries of Section 15 and of Section 19 (P.E.R.) to the Tah-ke Road, and by the said road to the east boundary of the said Section 19; thence in a northerly direction generally by the east boundaries of Sections 19, 20, 21, and 22, and Section 29, Block II aforesaid, to its north-east corner; thence in an easterly
