SCHEDULE.
ALL that road in the Auckland Land District, Rotorua County, known as Pikowai South Road, commencing at its junction with Pongakawa to Lake Rotoehu Road, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally adjoining or passing through Waitangi Block, Blocks X and VI, Waitangi, Oihoeka Block, Block VI, Forest Reserve, Blocks VI and VII, Rotoma Survey District, and terminating at its junction with Pikowai North and Hereperu South Roads, being a distance of five miles and three-quarters, more or less; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 34674, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red and marked A–B.

Declaring Road in Block XII, Mangawhero Survey District, to be a Government Road.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of March, 1914.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of March, 1914.

THE HONOURABLE W. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, and clause (b) of subsection one of section thirteen of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the Governor in Council thinks fit to impose, and may refer to one or both sides of the road or street:
And whereas the Wellington City Council, the local authority having control of the portion of street described in the Schedule hereto, did, by resolution, declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said portion of street:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved in so far as it refers to the western side of the said portion of street, subject to the condition hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Acts, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution to the extent hereinbefore mentioned, subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall be erected at any time on the western side of the said portion of street, within a distance of thirty-three feet of the centre-line of the said portion of street.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of Brougham Street, in the City of Wellington, fronting Town Acre 310, City of Wellington, being a distance of 81 ft., more or less; as the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 35248, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Directing Sale of Land under the Public Works Act, 1908.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of March, 1914.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the thirtieth section of the Public Works Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that if it is found that any land held, taken, purchased, or acquired at any time under this or any other Act or Provincial Ordinance, or otherwise howsoever for any public work, is not required for such public work, the Governor may, by an Order in Council publicly notified and gazetted, cause the same to be sold under the conditions set forth in the said Act:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is not now required for the public work for which it was acquired, and it is desirable to sell the same:
And whereas a plan has been prepared, and the Minister has recommended the Governor to issue an Order in Council directing the sale of the said land:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct the sale of the said land.
