Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Gore Domain.
LIVERPOOL, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-seventh day of March, 1914.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE W. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local authority to be the Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of any public domain:
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and four, powers were delegated to the Gore Domain Board in respect of the Gore Domain for a period of ten years:
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expires on the thirtieth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen:
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
THE GORE BOROUGH COUNCIL
to be the Gore Domain Board, as from the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, having the control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Monday, the twentieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at half past seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Borough Council Chambers, Mersey Street, Gore, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

SCHEDULE.
GORE DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Town of Gore, Southland Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or less, bounded towards the north by Surrey Street, 565 links; towards the south-east generally by a road reserve 100 links wide along the bank of the Mataura River; towards the south by Section 1, Block XXVI, Town of Gore, 365 links; and towards the north-west generally by Richmond Street, 877·9 links and 981·5 links.
Also all that area in the Town of Gore, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 3 perches, more or less, bounded towards the north by Preston Street, 885 links; towards the east by Main Street, 255 links; towards the south by Lyne Street, 933 links; and towards the west by Fairfield Street, 250 links.
Also all that area in the Town of Gore, containing by admeasurement 5 acres and 26 perches, more or less, bounded towards the north by Preston Street, 356 links; towards the east by Fairfield Street, 1450 links; towards the south by Irwell Street, 356 links; and towards the west by Ardwick Street, 1450 links.
Also all that area in the Town of Gore, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 26 perches, more or less, bounded towards the north by Irwell Street, 356 links; towards the east by Fairfield Street, 1100 links; towards the south by Irk Street, 356 links; and towards the west by Ardwick Street, 1100 links.
Also all that area in the Town of Gore, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods 26 perches, more or less, bounded towards the north by Irk Street, 356 links; towards the east by Fairfield Street, 1100 links; towards the south by Ashton Street, 356 links; and towards the west by Ardwick Street, 1100 links.
Also all that area in the Town of Gore, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 1 rood 9 perches, more or less, bounded towards the north by Ashton Street, 356 links; towards the east by Fairfield Street, 883 links; towards the south-east by Main Street, 746 links; and towards the west by Ardwick Street, 1539 links.
Also all that area in the Town of Gore, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 2 roods 30·2 perches, more or less, bounded towards the north by Oldham Street, 803·4 links; towards the east by Gorton Street, 505 links; towards the south by Hyde Street, 1077·2 links; and towards the north-west by railway reserve, 574 links.
Also all that area in the Town of Gore, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods, more or less, bounded towards the north by Oldham Street, 1039·2 links; towards the north-east by a road along the bank of the Mataura River, 542·4 links; towards the south by Hyde Street, 1237·2 links; and towards the west by Gorton Street, 505 links.
Also all that area in the Town of East Gore, containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more or less, bounded towards the north-west by railway reserve, 3220 links and 302·1 links; towards the north-east by railway reserve, 79 links; thence towards the north, east, south, and south-east generally by the Waikaka Stream.
Also all that area in the Town of East Gore, containing by admeasurement 5 acres and 14 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 1 to 15, Block VIII. Bounded towards the north-west by Railway Street, 228 links; towards the east and north-east by the Waikaka Stream; towards the south by Toronto Street, 1222·3 links; and towards the west by Dundas Street, 1167·4 links.
Also all that area in the Town of Gore, containing by admeasurement 6·22 perches, more or less, being Allotment 20, part of railway reserve, Block I. Bounded towards the north-east by Allotment 21 of said railway reserve, 50 links; towards the south-east and south-west by the railway reserve aforesaid, 73·05 links and 56·93 links; and towards the north-west by Main Street, 72·72 links.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the fifteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fourth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and four, certain powers were delegated to the Prebbleton Domain Board for a period of ten years:
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the fourteenth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen:
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

WILLIAM JOHN GALLAGHER,
JOSEPH HASTIE,
HERBERT PREBBLE, and
EDWARD PREBBLE ADAM
to be the Prebbleton Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the eighteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at seven o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Library at Prebbleton as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
