HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION BY WAY OF SPECIAL ORDER.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hamilton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,500, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making additions and extensions to the Hamilton gasworks, and to purchase and lay additional mains and meters, and to erect and fit offices, the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Hamilton, comprising the whole of the Borough of Hamilton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I certify that the above is a copy of the resolution passed at a meeting of the Hamilton Borough Council held on Friday, 27th February, 1914.

HAMILTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Hamilton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £11,000, authorized to be raised by the Hamilton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of making and constructing drainage-works in that portion of the Borough of Hamilton, in the Town of Hamilton West, which is situated to the north of the Frankton-Morrinsville Railway, including the purchase of all necessary land and materials, the said Hamilton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¹⁄₁₂d. in the pound upon the rateable value of the Borough of Hamilton, comprising the whole of the Borough of Hamilton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

TAIAPE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908, and its amendments; and of the taking under the said Act of certain lands within or near the Borough of Taihape.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the Borough of Taihape proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to take certain lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes named therein.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, in the Town Hall, Hautapu Street, in the said borough, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours; and that all persons affected by the taking of such lands should, if they have well-grounded objections to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Taihape Borough Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

THE AWAKINO COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Awakino County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £800, authorized to be raised by the Awakino County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for forming and metalling the Waipaua Road from its junction with the Keritehere Road to its junction with the Marokopa River Road, the said Awakino County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-eighths (⁵⁄₈d.) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waipaua Special-rating District, comprising the following sections: Sections 1, 2, 2A, 2B, 5, Block VI, Marakopa; 1, 2, 3, 3A, 4, 5, 5A, Block I, Whareorino; 1, 2, 3, 4, 4A, 5, 6, 6A, 7, 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D, 8, 9, 10, 10A, Block II, Whareorino; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, C L, Block V, Whareorino; 1A, Block VIII, Whareorino; Section 6, Block I, Maungamangiro; and H Section 1, H Section 2B No. 2B (part), H Section 2B No. 2D, H Section 2B No. 2E 2, P Section 2A, P Section 2B No. 1, P Section 2B No. 2, P Section 2B No. 4, Kinohaku West: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Awakino County Council held on the 7th day of March, 1914.

DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING A SPECIAL RATE OF 4D. IN THE POUND AS A SECURITY FOR A LOAN OF £150,000 TO BE RAISED BY THE DUNEDIN CITY COUNCIL UNDER THE LOCAL BODIES’ LOANS ACT, 1913.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Dunedin City Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a special loan of £150,000, authorized to be raised by the Dunedin City Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes of the Waipori Falls Electrical Works, belonging to the Dunedin City Corporation, and in particular for the construction and erection of that portion of the plant at the said works known as “The Triplication Plant,” and for providing and erecting a “stand-by” plant in the City of Dunedin, and for making other extensions of the said works, the Dunedin City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4d. in the pound
