If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, incapacity or otherwise, the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself, without reasonable cause, from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

The Board shall control the said reserve in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.

SCHEDULE.
ORARI GORGE SCENIC RESERVE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 197 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Reserve 3811, Block XII, Four Peaks Survey District. Bounded towards the east generally by a road-line and Lot 4, Tripp Settlement; towards the south by the road forming the northern boundary of Lot 5, Tripp Settlement, and Rural Section 3968, and by Lot 23, Tripp Settlement; towards the west by Lot 23 aforesaid; and towards the north by Station Creek: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 387/22 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered pink.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this sixth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Land temporarily reserved as a Site for a Public School in Block XII, Mapara Survey District, Taranaki Land District.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Taranaki Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, as a site for a public school.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section 23, Block XII, Mapara Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Section 1, Block XII, Mapara Survey District, 800 links; towards the south-east by Section 2, Block XII aforesaid, 612·3 links; towards the south by the Mangaiti Road, 733·3 links; and towards the north-west by Section 1 aforesaid, 800 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L and S. 1914/19, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

Lands permanently reserved.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.
WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
And whereas by the three-hundred-and-twenty-second section of the said Act it is provided that land temporarily reserved under the said three-hundred-and-twenty-first section may, at the expiration of one month but not later than six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation, be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
And whereas by the sixty-ninth section of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, it is further provided that the Governor may from time to time, as he thinks fit, set aside reserves for any specified public purpose out of land acquired under the last-mentioned Act, provided that no land so acquired shall be set aside for endowments:
And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the Warrants the dates of which are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notifications of which were published in the Gazettes specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the authority of the said Acts for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the said Acts, do hereby permanently reserve the lands so temporarily reserved as aforesaid, and enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto, for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule, being the same purposes for which the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid.
