was declared to be subject to Part I of the Native Land Settlement Act, 1907, and which by section two hundred and thirty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, becomes subject to Part XIV of that Act:
And whereas by subsection three of section two hundred and thirty-nine of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is provided that, notwithstanding anything hereinbefore contained in this section, the Governor may by Order in Council, on the recommendation of the Board in whose district the land is situated, in any case in which he is of opinion that an equal division of that land in manner aforesaid would be impracticable or inexpedient in the public interest or in the interests of the owners, authorize the division of that land in any other proportion, or authorize the whole of that land to be disposed of either by sale or lease:
And whereas the Waikato-Maniapoto District Maori Land Board has recommended that it is expedient that the whole of the land set out in the Schedule hereto shall be disposed of by way of sale:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby authorize the whole of the said land set out in the Schedule hereto to be disposed of by way of sale; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in the Borough of Cambridge, Auckland Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day of March, 1914.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the public reserve described in the Schedule hereto is vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Cambridge, in trust, as a site for cattle-yards:
And whereas the said reserve is set apart for one of the purposes named in Class I of the Second Schedule to the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and in the opinion of the Governor it is expedient to change the purpose of the said reserve to another of the purposes named in the said Class I, as hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the public reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby changed from a site for cattle-yards to a reserve for water-supply and gasworks purposes; and, by and with the like advice and consent, doth hereby declare that the said reserve shall become and the same is hereby vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Cambridge, in trust, for water-supply and gasworks purposes.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre, more or less, being Lot No. 571 of the Town of Cambridge East. Bounded towards the north by Lot No. 570 of the Town of Cambridge East, 500 links; towards the east by Hall Street, 200 links; towards the south by Lot No. 572 of the aforesaid town, 500 links; and towards the west by Lot. No. 564 of the aforesaid town, 200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1912/1201, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by section three of the Workers' Dwellings Act, 1910, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of the Workers' Dwellings Act, 1910.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 2 roods, more or less, being part of reserve numbered 2549, situate in the Borough of Waimate, and bounded towards the north by that part of the said reserve which has been taken for railway purposes, 1043·1 links; towards the east by Reserve No. 2472, 820·9 links; towards the south by Crown lands and the Waimate Creek; towards the west by the Gorge Road, 1466·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: save and excepting thereout a road-line 1 chain wide which is included in the above-described boundaries: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 19432/83, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

Cancelling the Reservation over a Primary Education Endowment in the Hawke's Bay Land District.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by section twenty-nine of the Reserves and other Lands Disposal and Public Bodies' Empowering Act, 1913, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby cancel the reservation for purposes of primary education over the land described in the Schedule hereto.
