whereas it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor in Council should issue :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the confirmation of an alienation by way of mortgage of the block or parcel of land set out in the Schedule hereto. And it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day of March, 1914.
Present :
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain :
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and four, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eleventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and four, certain powers were delegated to the Pahautanui Domain Board for a period of ten years :
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen :
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

WILLIAM GALLOWAY
to be the Pahautanui Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act ; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-eighth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Pahautanui Hall, Pahautanui, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
PAHAUTANUI DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 105 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 115, Block IX, Paekakariki Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by Sections Nos. 90 and 68; towards the east generally by Sections Nos. 68 aforesaid, 67, 65, and 64, across the Pahautanui River, and by Section No. 63; towards the south generally by Sections Nos. 7 and 116 and a public road to a point distant 50475·4 links south and 28517·1 links west of trig. station, Wainui, in the said Paekakariki Survey District (the said north, east, and south boundaries generally, with the exception of the aforesaid Section No 116, being the old high-water line prior to the year 1855); and thence towards the north-west by a right line bearing north 8° 16′ east to Section No. 90 aforesaid : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. & S. 1369/27A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, appoint any local authority to be the Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of any public domain :
And whereas by an Order in Council made on the seventh day of February, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fourteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and seven, powers were delegated to the Pakiri Domain Board in respect of the Pakiri Domain for a period of seven years :
And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen :
And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
THE RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL
to be the Pakiri Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act ; and doth hereby appoint

, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at eleven o’clock a.m., as the time when, and the County Council Chambers, Warkworth, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
PAKIRI DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing 8 acres, more or less, being Allotment No. 28A, Pakiri Parish. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 151·1, 506·1, 406·5, and 466·7 links ; towards the south and west generally by the Pakiri River ; and towards the north-west by a public road, 67 links : be all the aforesaid linkages more or less : as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/176, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (Auckland Plan 5180. blue).
