Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Waihemo Domain.

LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of February, 1914.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE J. ALLEN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint any local authority to be a Domain Board having, subject to Part II of the said Act, control of such domain:

And whereas by an Order in Council made on the seventh day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seven, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the tenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and seven, certain powers were delegated to the Waihemo Domain Board for a period of seven years:

And whereas the period for which the said Board was appointed expired on the sixth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen:

And whereas it appears expedient to again appoint a Domain Board to control the domain:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

THE WAIHEMO COUNTY COUNCIL

to be the Waihemo Domain Board having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Saturday, the twenty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, at twelve o’clock noon, as the time when, and the Waihemo County Council Office, Palmers-ton, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.


SCHEDULE.

WAIHEMO DOMAIN.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 129 acres 2 roods 26 perches, more or less, being Section No. 74, Block IV, Moeraki Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by part of Section 1 of 65, Section 2 of 65, by the crossing of a road-line, and Section 3 of 65 of said block, 4369·5 links; towards the north by Section 1 of 66, the abutment of a road-line, and by part of Section 2 of 66 of said block, 2196 links; towards the south-east by Section 75 of said block, 1679 links; towards the south by part of Section 5A and Section 4A, Puketapu Settlement, 2427 links; towards the east by part of said Section 4A, 2488·5 links; towards the south-west and south by Section 1A, Puketapu Settlement, and by part of Section 1 of 63, Block IV, Moeraki Survey District, 3027·3 links; and towards the west by the abutment of a road-line, Section 77, and the crossing of a road-line, 2548·3 links: save and except out of the above-described boundaries a road-line 50 links wide for which allowance has been made in the area: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Also all that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 2 roods 19 perches, more or less, being part of Sections 56 and 58, Block X, Moeraki Survey District. Bounded on the west by a road-line, 789 links; on the north by part of Sections 56 and 58, 1216·1 links; on the east by part of Section 60 of said block, 793·6 links; and on the south by a road-line, 1216 links: being the whole of the land described in certificate of title, Vol. 143, folio 132, Otago Lands Registration District: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

As the same are delineated on the plans marked L. and S. 1180/4A and 1180/4B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Recreation Reserve in Marlborough Land District brought under Part II of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908.


LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of February, 1914.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE J. ALLEN PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-sixth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, do hereby order and declare that the reserve for recreation in the Marlborough Land District described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act; and such reserve shall hereafter form part of Brownlee Domain, and be managed, administered, and dealt with as a public domain by the Brownlee Domain Board.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 31 perches, more or less, being Section No. 67, Town of Havelock. Bounded towards the north by Section 74, 172·3 links; towards the east by a public road, 304·3 links; towards the south by a public road, 124·1 links; and towards the west by Section 68, 300·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1413/4B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street in the City of Auckland of a Width less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft.


LIVERPOOL, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of February, 1914.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and seventy-eight of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that where the configuration of any borough is such as that within any particular area or areas thereof it is difficult or inexpedient to construct streets of a width of sixty-six feet, as required by the said Act, the Governor may, by Order in Council defining the limits of such particular area or areas, authorize the Council to permit within such area or areas the construction of streets and private streets of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet:

And whereas the configuration of part of the City of Auckland is such that within the area described in the Schedule hereto it is inexpedient to construct a street of sixty-six feet in width:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Auckland City Council to permit the laying-off of a street of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet, within the area described in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the City of Auckland, being Lots 9 and 10 of Allotment 19 of Section 43, City of Auckland; as the said area is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 34899, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon bordered green.
