to Waingarara Stream and road from finger-post at Mr. T.
McCoy’s to Wainui Stream, £400 ; (7) the payment of the
first year’s interest and sinking fund and cost of raising the
loan, £88 16s.—the Whakatane County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one farthing in the pound upon the
rateable value of all rateable property in the special-rating
district to be called the Waimana Special-rating District, and
comprising the whole of the Waimana Riding ; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of the loan, and shall be payable annually on the
first day of April in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan
is fully paid off ; and that the first year’s interest and sinking
fund and cost of raising the loan be paid out of the loan.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
passed at an ordinary meeting of the Whakatane County
Council held on the 19th January, 1914, and confirmed at an
ordinary meeting held on the 16th February, 1914.

WHAKATANE HARBOUR BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE AS SECURITY FOR LOAN
OF £5,000 FOR HARBOUR-IMPROVEMENT WORKS.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it
by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amend-
ments, the Whakatane Harbour Board hereby resolves as
follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £5,000 authorized by the Board under
the above-mentioned Acts for harbour-improvement works,
the said Whakatane Harbour Board hereby makes and levies
a special rate of one-third of one penny in the pound upon
all the rateable value of all rateable property within the
Whakatane Harbour District ; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable in one instalment on the 1st day of
January in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully
paid off ; and the ordinary revenues of the Board be also
pledged as collateral security.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
passed at an ordinary meeting of the Whakatane Harbour
Board held on the 24th January, 1914, and confirmed at an
ordinary meeting held on the 9th February, 1914.

ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Eltham County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £450 authorized to be raised by the
Eltham County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for
the purpose of forming and metalling Clifford Road from
Eltham Borough boundary westward for a distance of
15 chains, more or less, and the whole length of Templar
Street (Chislehurst), the whole comprising one continuous
public work, the said Eltham County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one penny and thirteen-sixteenths
of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value on basis
of capital value of all the rateable property of the Clifford
Road Special-rating Area, comprising Allotments 21, 22, 23,
24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, and 32 of subdivision of Sec-
tions 5, 6, and 7, Sub. 2 of Section 6, and balance of Sec-
tion 5, Allotments 33, 34, 35, and 36 of Section 11, all situate
in Block X, Survey District of Ngaero ; and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of seven years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
passed at a properly convened ordinary meeting of the Eltham
County Council held on the 14th day of February, 1914.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the
Waitomo County Council held on Monday, 19th day
of January, 1914, the following resolution was passed, and
will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary meeting
of the Waitomo County Council to be held on Monday, 16th
February, 1914, at 7 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Taupiri
Street, Te Kuiti.

Resolution making special order levying a separate rate
under section 119 of the Counties Act, 1908, over the Waipa-
Pirongia Bridge Separate-rating Area to secure repayment of
£450 and interest, advanced by the Waitomo County Council
as its share towards the cost of construction of a traffic-bridge
over the Waipa River at Pirongia.

In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 119 of
the Counties Act, 1908, the Waitomo County Council hereby
resolves by way of a special order as follows : That, for the
purpose of providing £450 and interest, the Waitomo County
Council’s share of the cost of constructing a bridge over the
Waipa River at Pirongia, known as the Waipa-Pirongia
traffic-bridge, the Waitomo County Council hereby levies a
separate rate of one farthing in the pound on the capital
value of all rateable property within the Waipa - Pirongia
Bridge Special-rating Area ; and that such rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate for a period of ten years, or until the
amount has been fully repaid, such rate to be payable yearly
on the first day of October in each and every year, or until
such amount has been fully repaid.

Waipa - Pirongia Bridge Separate-rating Area.

Commencing at the south-east boundary of Section O.L.C.,
Block XII, Pirongia S.D., fronting the Waipa River ; thence
in an easterly direction following the southern boundaries of
Sections 11, 10, and Kopua No. 1k, Section 2, Block XII,
Pirongia, Kopua No. 1L, Sections 8, 9 7, 7A, 5, 6, and 4, to
the county boundary ; thence along the county boundary in
a northerly direction to Trig. Mahaukura No. 1922 ; thence
in an easterly direction along the county boundary to the
Waipa River ; thence by the Waipa River in a southerly
direction to the starting-point.

purpose of providing £50 and interest, advanced by the
Waitomo County Council towards forming and culverting the
Hutiwae Road, the Waitomo County Council hereby levies a
separate rate of one farthing in the pound on the capital
value of Section 2, Block V, Orahiri S.D., Section 4, Block X,
Orahiri, Section 5, Block X, Orahiri, and Hauturu East B
No. 2, Section 2B 2E No. 1 ; and that such rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate for a period of five years, or until the
amount has been fully repaid ; such rate to be payable
yearly on the first day of October in each and every year,
or until such amount has been fully repaid.
