And whereas it was provided in the said Order in Council that the said Exhibition should commence on the first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen, and extend up to and including the twenty-eighth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen: And whereas it is desired to extend the period of the said Exhibition up to and including the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Exhibitions Act, 1910, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of New Zealand, doth hereby authorize the extension of the period of the said Exhibition up to and including the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and doth declare that the said Exhibition shall during such extended period be an Exhibition within the meaning of the said Exhibitions Act, 1910. And in further pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him as aforesaid His Excellency the Governor doth hereby set apart temporarily the land with the buildings thereon described in the Schedule to the said Order in Council (the consent of the Auckland City Council having been already obtained) for the purposes of the said Exhibition for such extended period. And His Excellency the Governor doth hereby appoint George Elliott and Benjamin Buttle, both of Auckland, to be Exhibition Commissioners, under the style of “The Auckland Industrial, Agricultural, and Mining Exhibition (1913) Commissioners,” for the purposes of the said Exhibition for such extended period; and doth hereby appoint the said George Elliott to be President of such Commissioners; and doth hereby direct that the said Commissioners shall have exclusive control of the said land and buildings hereby set apart for such extended period for the purposes of the said Exhibition.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of February, 1914.

THE HONOURABLE W. FRASER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, and clause (b) of subsection one of section thirteen of the Public Works Amendment Act, 1911, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the Governor in Council thinks fit to impose, and may refer to one or both sides of the road or street:
And whereas the Christchurch City Council, the local authority having control of the portion of street described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said portion of street:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved in so far as it refers to the southern side of the portion of street described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution to the extent hereinbefore mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of Clare Road in the City of Christchurch, Canterbury Land District, adjoining Lot 32, D.P. 206, City of Christchurch; as the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 34829, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Regulations under the Government Accident Insurance Act, 1908.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE W. F. MASSEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twelve, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand did, in exercise and pursuance of the powers vested in him by the thirtieth section of the Government Accident Insurance Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), make regulations for directing, among other things, the use of tables fixing the rates of premium to be charged for insuring employers against their liabilities under the Workers’ Compensation Act, 1908, and its amendments, and at common law: And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said Order in Council, and to make other provisions in lieu thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in this behalf vested in him, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the said Order in Council prescribing the rates of premium for the class of insurance as mentioned aforesaid, and in lieu thereof doth hereby order and direct that the rates contained in the Schedule hereto shall be the rates of premium for insuring employers against their liability under the Workers’ Compensation Act, 1908, and its amendments, and at common law, in respect of accidents to workers employed by them; and doth hereby order that this present Order in Council shall be read with the Order in Council made under the said Act on the nineteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and eight, and shall take effect on and after the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.

(b.) EMPLOYER’S POLICY.

For all policies effected or renewed on and after the first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, the rates of premium shall be computed upon the amount spent in wages, and shall be fixed by the Commissioner, having regard to the nature of the risk; provided, nevertheless, as follows: (a.) In the case of each policy the minimum premium shall not exceed 10s. (b.) Subject to the aforesaid minimum, the premium shall not exceed in respect of every £100, or fraction thereof, paid in wages, the rate shown in the subjoined table, according to the category in which, in the opinion of the Commissioner, the risk should be classified.
