Proclaiming Native Land to be Crown Land under Section 374
of the Native Land Act, 1909.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section three hundred and seventy-four
of the Native Land Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred
to as “the said Act”), it is provided, inter alia, that all
Native land purchased by the Crown under the authority
of that Act shall, on becoming vested in severalty in the
Crown, become Crown land subject to the provisions of the
Land Act, 1908, and shall be proclaimed as such by the
Governor, and shall thereafter be administered and dealt
with accordingly:
And whereas the Native land set out in the Schedule
hereto has been purchased and has become vested in severalty
in the Crown :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority conferred upon me by section three hundred and
seventy-four of the said Act, I, Arthur William de Brito
Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of
New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the land set out in the
Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1908.
SCHEDULE.
All that piece or parcel of land situate in the Newcastle and
Alexandra Survey Districts, in the Provincial District of
Auckland, containing 100 acres, more or less, and being the
land known as Lot 69, Parish of Waipa.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile,
Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the
Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian
Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies; and issued under
the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Govern-
ment House at Wellington, this tenth day of
December, in the year of our Lord one thousand
nine hundred and fourteen.

Additional Land in Bealey Survey District taken for the
Purposes of the Midland Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use,
convenience, and enjoyment of the Midland Rail-
way to take further land in Bealey Survey District, in
addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the
said railway:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of
Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand,
in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me
by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and
authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above
mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 3 acres
3 roods 35 perches.
Portion of Reserve 3535.
Situated in Block XV, Bealey Survey District.
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 35927,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and
thereon coloured yellow.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right

Altering the Middle-line of a Portion of the East Coast Main
Trunk Railway (Napier End).

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS under the provisions in that behalf of sec-
tion one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public
Works Act, 1908, the middle-line of a portion of the East
Coast Main Trunk Railway (Napier end) was defined by a
Proclamation dated the twenty-third day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and twelve, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette of the second day of the following
month:
And whereas it has been found necessary in the construc-
tion of such railway to alter a portion of such line in
manner hereinafter appearing:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl
of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zea-
land, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred
upon me by the aforesaid section one hundred and eighty-
eight, and of all other powers and authorities enabling me
in this behalf, do hereby revoke so much of the Schedule to
the said Proclamation as defines the middle-line of the said
railway between the points marked 0 miles and 1 mile
68½ chains, shown on plan numbered P.W.D. 31438 referred
to therein; and in lieu thereof do hereby proclaim and
declare that the middle-line of the said portion of railway
shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point in Block IV, Heretaunga Survey
District, on the existing railway between Napier and Port
Ahuriri marked 0 miles, distant about 30 chains from Napier
Railway-station, and proceeding thence generally in a
westerly and northerly direction for a distance of about
2 miles 68½ chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the
following lands, &c., viz.: Drainage reserve, Sections 680,
681, 682, 683, 684, 685, 686, and 690 of part Te Whare-o-
Maraenui B Block, Napier South Town District, Harbour
