Also all that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 7,200 acres, more or less, situated in Blocks II and III, Tennyson Survey District, and Blocks I and II, Wakamarina Survey District. Commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 34, Block III, Tennyson Survey District, and bounded towards the north by the abutment of a road and the northern boundary of Section 33 of said Block III, 7846·5 links; thence towards the east by the eastern boundary of Section 33 aforesaid, about 1000 links; thence again towards the north generally by a reserve for the growth and preservation of timber to the summit of the Bull Range; thence towards the south-east by the remaining portion of the State forest along the Bull Range to Trig. Station Y; thence again towards the south-east generally by the north-western boundary of Sections 7 and 6, Block II, Wakamarina Survey District, to the left bank of the Opouri River, about 16800 links; thence towards the south by the left bank of the Opouri River, about 7000 links; thence again towards the south-east generally by the northern side of a public road, about 6500 links; thence across the said public road and by a right line forming the western boundary of Crown land, about 2200 links; thence again towards the south generally by the northern boundaries of Section 2, Block II, Wakamarina Survey District, and Sections 9 and 8, Block I, Wakamarina Survey District, about 5900 links; thence towards the west generally by Section 38 of said Block I and its eastern boundary produced to the Opouri River, 1650 links; thence across and by that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 39 of said Block I; thence by a right line to the southernmost corner of that section, by its south-eastern boundary and across a road, 3450 links; thence by the said road bounding the last-mentioned section, 1709·1 links; thence by Section 40, Block I, Wakamarina Survey District, 1250 links; and thence by a right line bearing north 23° east, 32250 links, to the north-eastern corner of Section 34, Block III, Tennyson Survey District, the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 57257/114, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Proclamations dated the 12th October, 1886, and 5th October, 1909, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 54, of the 14th October, 1886, and No. 84, of the 7th October, 1909.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT.

All that area in the Southland Land District, containing approximately 353 acres, situated in Block VII, Oteramika Hundred, being parts of Sawmill Areas Nos. 188 and 188A, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-eastern corner of the northern part of Sawmill Area No. 188A; thence towards the east by Sections 11, 12, 13A, 13B, and the abutment of a road to the north-western corner of Section 14; thence towards the north-east by Sections 14, 15, 16, the crossing of a road, Section 49, and the crossing of a road, all in Block VII aforesaid; towards the south-west by a railway reserve; towards the west by the crossing of a road, Sawmill Site No. 513, and Section 19, Block IV, and by the abutment of a road and Crown land, Block II, of said Oteramika Hundred, to the north-western corner of the northern part of Sawmill Area No. 188A aforesaid; thence towards the north by a line running east to the point of commencement: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. XXIII/394A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Also all that area in Block XXII, Longwood Survey District, containing approximately 554 acres, being Sawmill Area No. 511A, and part of Sawmill Area No. 511, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-western corner of Sawmill Area No. 511A; thence towards the north by Crown land in Block XXII aforesaid, 3873·2 links; towards the north-east, north, and east by Crown land in said Block XXII, 2482·2 links, 427·3 links, and 8680·7 links respectively; towards the south by Crown land in Blocks III and I, Longwood Survey District, 5227·3 links; and towards the west by Sections Nos. 14 and 13, Block XVI, Longwood Survey District, 10985·3 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. XXIII/394B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Also all that area in Blocks XII and XIII, Wairoa Survey District, containing approximately 1385 acres, being Sawmill Area: Nos. 503, 503A, 503B, 503C, and 503D, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the most westerly corner of Sawmill Area No. 503B; thence towards the north-west and north generally by Section 177, Block XII, and by Crown land adjoining the above-mentioned Sawmill Areas to the northernmost corner of Sawmill Area No. 503D; thence towards the north-east generally by the present boundary of the State forest to the north-western boundary of Section 29, Wairoa Survey District; thence towards the east generally by said Section 29, the abutment of a road, and said road to the northernmost corner of Section 176, Wairoa Survey District; thence towards the south generally by said Section 176, a road, the abutment of a road, Section 6, the abutment of a road, Sections 4, 101, 100, 99, the abutment of a road, Sections 18, 96, the abutment of a road, and again by Section 96, all in the Wairoa Survey District, to the point of commencement: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. XXIII/394C, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Also all that area in Block III, Waimumu Hundred, containing approximately 350 acres, being part of Section 34 of the said block, and being all the remaining State-forest land in the said Waimumu Hundred; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. XXIII/394D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Proclamation dated the 24th day of February, 1886, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 11, of the 4th day of March, 1886.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Waitaki-Bluff Railway (Catlin’s River Branch) to take further land at Glenomaru, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 2 roods, being portion of Section 10 (S.O. 7551).

Situated in Block III, Glenomaru Survey District, Clutha County.

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 22095, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable Arthur William de Brito Savile, Earl of Liverpool, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Member of the Royal Victorian Order, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House at Wellington, this twelfth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fourteen.
