WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.

HOSPITAL LOAN, £6,000.

WHEREAS the Waikohu County Council, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and the amendments thereof, has authorized the raising of a loan of £6,000 for the purpose of paying its share of the cost of a new hospital being erected in Gisborne by the Cook Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Office has advanced £4,000 of the said loan at £4 17s. 6d. per centum, and a further £1,000 at £5 6s. 6d. per centum:

Now, the Waikohu County Council, having made a special rate of one-twentieth of one penny in the £1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Waikohu, which said rate is now insufficient to give the necessary security for the raising of the balance of the said loan (viz., £1,000), the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing moneys sufficient to cover the increased cost of the above-mentioned loan, the Waikohu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one one-hundred-and-fiftieth of one penny in the £1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Waikohu; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until such loan is fully paid off.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waikohu was hereto affixed in the presence of—

E. M. HUTCHINSON,
Chairman.

GEO. WARREN,
Clerk.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Waikohu County Council duly constituted and held on the 26th day of November, 1913.
